hi. i need some help with the sound. i`m experiencing the "sound too quiet" problem where the sound of the game is too quiet compared to the actual sound level of windows. the fix, that i`ve found on google, was only for integrated Realtek HD sound. my sound card on the other hand is M-Audio Audiophile 2496.
the main problem with Realtek integrated was that the sound settings on 2 channel (LR only) was set up by default for 5.1 sound and when that was fixed the game levels were fine. in my case its a bit different. my card, being pro recording interface supports only L and R output and there is no option anywhere in the m-audio control panel or the windows sound tab to change the number of speakers i`m using. yet the game acts and sounds like its trying go produce a 5.1 sound output.
is there anyway to fix this? maybe there is a way to change those settings through game files.
I'm curious which side you guys chose in the Stormcloack vs Legion thing. I'm asking because both sides suck majorly. One side consists of a bunck of racists led by an arrogant dick, while the other side is under the full control of the Aldmeri Dominion, which again, are a bunch of racists.
The first play through I played an Imperial and naturally sided with the Imperials. My second time around I'm playing a Nord, and I'm going to side with the StormCloaks. So far I find the StormCloak side a bit more fun. Maybe its just me, but its seems the scripting is better.
For those of you that are haven't picked a side yet, don't until you finish the main quest. There is an pretty cool quest that involves both fractions if you don't side with either. I didn't know about this when I first played. And you don't get the quest if you side with either fraction.

Care to elaborate about the quest? (in a spoiler tag)
The amount of unique content in this game is amazing, 72 hours in and I'm still surprised by some dungeons. This game has some of the most atmospheric dwemer dungeons, Blackreack for example, I have ever seen in a game.
The next game better be about dwemer. With so much focus on them, it almost seems it's confirmed. Maybe some kind of prequel telling their fate. It would be a good opportunity to show all those ancient heroes from the books.
The biggest problem this game has for me is the lack of enemy variation. So much effort has gone into the world, so much content, yet they didn't take time to add some new enemies you see at high levels. A big shame.
