Got it up and running. Fuckin gaming is INSANE Such utter silky smoothness with 4xAA 8xAF it makes me want to cry. In fact, I do, every time.
I have a quick question though regarding the processor temperature.
I left it running overnight last night, rebooted, and checked temp via bios. It read 43-45 Celcius.
Then proceeded to do some heavy gaming/process intensive apps. for a few hours. Rebooted, checked, and it read 48ish.
This is within acceptable standards, right?
The case is a honeycomb style at the side, and thus well ventilated. Have the stock case fan installed (120mm), and a heat exhaust blower as well that siphons air out the back. Is this enough, or are these temps. costing me performance wise?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I've had two lots of ram. The idiots sent me the same brand of ram again even though the first lot was not only faulty, but incompatible too. I'm not willing to spend a single penny with them until they credit my account with the cash from the second lot I've rma'ed.
£2000 for a bloody doorstop.

Immunity:
You building your computer is the reason for me signing up to this forum.
I am following your specs of your computer and going to use it to build mine. However, I am going to pick a different case and video card.
Question to you guys is, how long before you think the prices will drop on that 4000+ san diego chip? becuase I plan to buy it within a week or 2 and well, if you guys think it will drop in 3 - 4 weeks, I'll hold off, if not, I'ma get it. please let me know, thanks.
and thanks Immunity for the wonderful selection you have picked. I've read reviews on the board and chip you have choosen and have heard nothing but great things, so even though its a lot of $$$$ for your setup, I think it will be worth it in the end.

That X800Pro is a good deal, you have to pay more for that over here. |
As far as i know, the X800XL is better than X800PRO. The X800XL is a direct competitor to Geforce 6800GT, but with a lower price
I'd get it if i were you, its really a good card, i got absolutley no complaints so far. |
yes i know mrt, i own a X800XL myself, really a great card, but it is much more expensive for nouseforaname, 50 euro more for a xl is not worth it (my xl was actually cheaper than a pro)
