Do you hate him as person or just his movies..or both? I'm kinda curious 
(I personally like his movies a lot, even though I reckon that his figure has been "mythicized" too much in these last years. Don't know anything about him/his ego, maybe this helped  or maybe not, since I wouldn't have given a damn anyway haha).
I guess it's the typical marmite director that you either love him or hate him

So wait a sec, there is the ship, full of "vases", which contain pre-human material and there are no Alien eggs? So they actually fuck up or rewrite the lore? I mean, the jockeys the ones who created the xenomorph for war, against this other alien race. But according to this trailer, the ship is loaded with DNA and the humans are gonna fuck around with it and creating the xenomorph by accident. Oh boy, quite confusing, I hope they don't fuck it up. But it can't be worse than the shitty AVP movies or Predators.

I just hope this isn't a cheap spinoff where they ignore the xenos completely. I mean, there are so many questions unanswered in this lore... why create even more. And no, I don't want the answers from some lame ass 3rd party writers and their stupid books (doesn't count as lore for me).

none of this is known
there's a lot of explanations in comics but nothing considered canon
and there's nothing in the films
avp doesn't count, being a crossover
all there is is an abandoned crashed spaceship with a dead jockey in it, an animal with a full life cycle and lots of speculation from characters who know nothing

And lot's of eggs aligned in the way the vases in the prometheus trailer are. So, I think this part is canon. Maybe the jockeys didn't create only the xenos, but lot's of species and especially humans. We'll see.
