The only sequel so far begs to differ since it improves a lot the original game and concept. If Rocksteady stays on the developer seat, all will be fine.

fair enough, but.... if this turns out like assassin's creed where a developer only ever makes one triple A game per year i'm going to be pissed off all the same, sure like you said the game evolves through sequelization but.... that's a bit inevitable to a point isn't it?

And how exactly did you deduce from "if we have interesting stories, we'll keep telling them" that the sequel is coming this year? 
I was also skeptical, after the sequel to Asylum was announced a year later. And it turned out amazing.

Hell, to add even more credence to what you're saying Leo; Arkham City had been done for many, many months prior to release, which puts AC even closer to the original AA release.

Great news if true. Loved both games, can't wait for the next one.
I do hope though, they will spice up the gameplay for the next game. The formula is great and works well, but doing it again the third time is too much.

i'll be replying to that christmas season 2012, to say i told you so.
honestly though, you do have a point but.... i don't know has talking about a game way before there's a reason to ever resulted in anything good? look what it did for spore, you can't say "guys, we've just spent the last 4 years of our lives pouring over this to make sure it's everything you've ever dreamed of and totally great and not cheapened in any way" and then as soon as one person's seen the ending credits start talking about the next one.
honestly, if i had to call it right now, yes next christmas is when this is gonna be out, that or july to tie into the new movie slated for then but we all know how slow this summer was.

I don't mind paying for a new Rocksteady Batman game every month if they can keep the same production levels and story writing.
Wouldn't mind a Cat Women games either.

that's all i'm getting at, i still agree this last batman game totally kicked ass i just think it cheapens the IP to use it so non-stop at least two major franchises for each developer would be a hugely good change.

will be released as DLC in the same quality as the GTA4 DLC. Rocksteady is the only major developer apart from Rockstar North who I trust to pull something like that off.

There will be a DLC involving the Batcave I think.

My thoughts as well. The way they hint it at the end of the second Catwoman part if you chose to abandon Batman could be more than just a joke (like the hidden room in Arkham Asylum).
