Ok I want to state first that while this looks like a trolling, it isn't. It says i've put in over 150+ hours but i've often walked off and left the game running while doing other things so i've probably played more like 80 hours or maybe it's been 100. Look at my other posts, I don't troll.
That being said - those of you that love the game, how is it you don't get bored with it? The little things really break this game for me, after 80 hours anyway. Let's see there's the sneaking thing. I can be in broad daylight and walk within 5 ft of someone but they can't see me. I shoot someone in the head with an arrow and the arrow is stickign out their head, but they say "what was that!?!?!??" and search for 30 seconds or so and then say, must've been nothing while the arrow still sticks out their head. Repeat until they're dead. The repetitive voices & dialogue, plus the things that dont make sense - like i've restored the thieves guild and yet i hear from the bar keep how i'm a new recruit or whatever?
Those are just a few things that come to mind. That's not saying anything about the repetitive enemies or "dungeons". Seems someone always wants you to go into some hole in the ground or cave, and they all look alike inside. It's as if the game is unfinished or something. I recall Oblivion playing pretty much the same way. Like Oblivion, after 80 some hours of play I am bored and won't finish it. I even switched from the xbox to the PC thinking the graphical mods and such would spruce it up but it didn't.
I'm not trying to diss the game or come here and shit in anyone's cereal. I just wonder why so many of you that love this game accept this kind of stuff? If they would've tightened up the story and game play I could honestly see where this would be a GOTY contender. I could understand it 5 years ago, but I think enough progress has been made in recent years for them to have made some corrections.

It couldn't have been that bad. You put in 80+ hours. I think you could have gotten away with around 5-10 hours and decided to not like it then.
I admire your perseverance though!

+1, for me the game got stale after about 40-50 hours. All the quests are exactly the same and bugs galore which made me kringe at times, like what you mentioned about restoring the thieves guild yet hearing you were the new recruit.
The main story was cool and abit different though short.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

We accept the flaws because they're outshined by interesting quests, loot, npcs and beautiful landscapes.
We accept them because the game is huge, it's wrecking social lifes and marriages as we speak.
We accept them because we know they'll get fixed,if not by the designers, then by the modders who even before the cc kit has been released, have done amazing things.
You've played it for 80 hours. That's a game length that's practically blasphemy in todays games. And it has replay value. Even before the modders do their thing.
Just think what the creators of Nehrim will do with this game.
I love this game, so do you, you wouldn't have played it for 80 hours otherwise.
Or maybe you took an arrow to the knee, and can't play anymore.

i agree with killerbyte, you need to finish first world quest and first dungeon quest, and it's like you saw them all,...i played with 2 characters for 25 hours each, and after that i got bored for traveling, for smithing, for fighting, for everything,.. i said, i will rest for 2-3 days and get back, but when i got in the game again, i know what will next quest be,.. game is very repetitive, and combat is not so good,..
Why walk, when you can ride.

Man I feel like they didnt think much to implement some crucial game mechanics, I think the game is great btw, but dude it does get so fucking boring after a while...its been a week I dont play it and I think i will only go back to it once some great mods show up

So by that logic you should all be bored?
There's a lot of shit to do in the game, so yea i probably sank 80+ hours. Between smithing, collecting ingredients for some things, etc. I didn't say the game was awful just that it got boring. It's like sex with your wife. It sucks and it's boring but you can still enjoy it, for a while anyway. The married guys will understand what i mean.
It doesn't matter if I take a break or not. When I come back it will be the same boring caves, same boring draugr, same dark hole with vampires, etc etc etc. As far as that is concerned i'm done. As far as that goes every game is repetition, but this just isn't done well. It's not like bethesda is a budding developer. Lazinesss, lack of manpower? I dunno, maybe when you got that many if and while statements going on it's impossible to make it play right 
Anyway i feel like i'm starting to bash it and that's not my point of posting. Apparently you guys like repetition, question answered I suppose. Good enough for me.

Guys what mods are must have for oblivion? I installed all the bug fixes and exe optimizers, and Im downloading deadly reflexes and the new UI from the top files, but I want more...cant play the game vanilla anymore...
