Ok I completed the Beta with a Barbarian...
The game is amazing....it really looks like torchlight but feels like Diablo all the way...its refine, detailed, runs like butter in a hot frying pan and the effects, lighting, ambiance, sound and music is IMO impecable...really feels like Diablo. The phsic is just crazy....Everyting just breaks, explodes, burns....blood...lmao...man

I have to say, the short time I've played D3 it is quite impressive - and Cain is back too which is always cool! And Leah looks hot. For a small avatar. 
And Frogster... as much as that idea appeals... I think I'll probably decline

Yeah that's what I mean...It has the style and some similarities but Diablo is much more in every aspect as for quality for sure...
Torchlight is the first thing that popped out of my mind...

They both have a cartoony look, but Torchlight is more lego-kiddy style IMO. They are both distinct and both styles work fine for each game

so... have they said if the maps are gonna keep being so closed in and linear all the way through the game? corridor RPG from what it looks like watching beta streams.
i mean, it was incredibly surprising how small and claustrophobic most of the maps seemed, sure it's only part of the first big quest hopefully and story chunk 2 isn't part of the beta so that could be only a tiny part, but... personally i saw... 3? if that many things off the narrow path to discover and a lot of that was those "loot goblins"

@fuckit I think they have mentioned that the maps should open up more as you get further in the game. They just assume everyone has the IQ of 30 so they keep it simple in the beginning (act1).

all i'm getting at though, seeing other people play the beta, seeing tiny, closed in claustrophobic maps and loot goblins that de-incentivize actually exploring and leaving the path.
just more reasons not to give a shit when this is actually on store shelves.
it's obvious that they were counting the whole "promote our beta" mentality to generate buzz and get people excited before it comes out, the thing they didn't take into account though is that people who like their pre actishit era games are just going to be even less likely to take a chance on this hasbin developer.

you really dont get diablo or blizzard. 8 people out of 10, play the fuck out of d3 every day since months ago, even if the content / char is finished in 3 h at the top. no ideea about tiny maps, a comparasion from diablofans i think, map to map in act 1 show that the map is larger by 30% vs d2.
meh, i was expecting a release date at the end of the trailer.

To sum up relative to regions:
- Diablo 3 is region free, you have a default region (based on your address) but it can be modified to play in another region (think D2).
- You can use every gold-ah
- You are restricted (locked) to a specific Real Money AH based on your address when you activate your game
- You may move region providing proof of habitation (not 100% sure).
- These apply for EU/NA 100% some things may be different for Asia.

Now what we will do is we will lock you down to a specific auction house, so for example if you are a European national you would have access to the European auction house. it seems like a fair deal, but they may opened a bit of can of worms.
like laundry money trough us gold ah and put items in eu ah. chinese will only need one legit account in eu, one in us, and they will get the items for selling trough regular gold ah form china -> those markets, if theyhave the same treatment like eu/us.
not complaining about, i dont really care about money ah, but i wonder if this is intended.

I hope they will perform IP checks and traces when people try to use the auction house, if we do have to deal with this shit I'd like to atleast not have it flooded with millions of farmed epics in the first 10 days.
Im really happy though that we are not confined to playing on one region, Ive got alot of overseas friends I play games with and this would have been a real bummer.

Maybe they added a id tag on items, that will include its drop location.
So you cant sell items on other money ah's, except in the region it dropped.
Its true tho, why lock money ah to region but not the gold ah. makes no sense.
