Yeah that's what I thought, they patched teh offline method.
So it's disconnect from inet --> install --> start and let launcher do its thing --> click offline mode --> reconnect and update?

No, it's like this:
Install the game -> let launcher update itself-> exit from launcher and swap the launcher.exe with the old one -> disconnect from net -> launch the game untill you reach login menu -> connect to net and login, when it asks for key press cancel, go check force oflline mode and log in again, now you can paly and after that you can let launcher update itself.

to get the old exe you need to install the launcher that came with the game on another pc or you can istall it on your pc and make a copy of the exe before launcher update it.

Brotherhood was awful and uninspired IMO. As I said before, Brotherhood was released with cash in mind, there was absolutely no reason for it and it brought nothing storywise (apart from Desmond stuff which could easily be put in either AC2 or ACR).

ACR improves upon everything that ACB did wrong, and is my favorite AC so far, right after AC1.

Just use any clonedvd and put the serial after install.

I actually felt that it removed things, sure the things that were kept were certainly refined and more polished. Also, I loved Rome a lot more than Constantinople. I will agree 100% that the story in ACR is much better.

I wasn't thinking about the horses but yeah I liked them even with the clumsiness of riding them through the narrow streets Very Happy I was more thinking about the several varied missions in the countryside (even if some of them might've been lame like the "tank" one). Also the great variety of faction missions (courtisans, thieves, mercenaries) and finally what I really enjoyed the most in ACB, the assassination contracts. I found them much more entertaining than these 2-part master assassin missions.

And what was AC:R for?

And AC1 was boring... The assassinations were fun but doing the same thing over and over again got seriously boring. And the combat, while good, was too easy.

If anything, they actually successfully blocked themselves from milking the cow even more. They ended both Altair's and Ezio's story COMPLETELY, and even though I'm sure that some SP DLC for ACR will arrive, there is no way to make another game featuring Ezio and/or Altair.

No you. It's far better than just slaying everyone that Ezio gets an order to kill, which rewards him in uber failure (ACR spoiler)
 Spoiler:

. At least in AC1 you got to know your target better, by investigating you received additional intel about other ways of approaching your target etc.

Laughing And it was even more easier in AC2, being a joke in ACB, and being slightly harder in ACR (mainly because of the Janissaries)

It looks pretty unpolished, to be honest. No way it looks better than the final product. That pushing people out of the way looks absolutely ridicules, and climbing looks just bad compared to the final product. That woman also got on my nerves with her "next-gen" propaganda. Embarassed

As for the combat, the only thing I like about it is that you can die easily. Otherwise, it looks exactly the same (well, except for the crappy animations that is - they were far better in the final) as in the final game. Enemies still attack one at a time. Laughing So, let's not get all worked up over nothing.

The only thing I really hate about AC1 are those fucking beggars, the drunk madmen, and those stupid "save the citizen" sequences (there are about 50 too many). I don't really mind the other repetitive stuff, but those two are just terrible, and are the reason I don't feel like replaying the game anytime soon. Whoever thought annoying players like that was a good idea, should be given a good beating and then fired.

Let's be fair here: Altair's investigations were mainly about how to best approach the target. He didn't actually learn anything personal about them until after he already stabbed them. So, it is safe to assume, Altair would've done the same thing as Ezio in this situation. He would just know of more ways to stab him. Very Happy

Seriously, don't say too many bad stuff about Ezio in Revelations. It's the first game that made me like him. I even look at AC2 (which I actually enjoyed far more than AC1, gameplay wise - I just love those secret locations ) more favorably now because I know he gets better. Very Happy

Also, let's not make AC1 look like some gift from heaven. It's an average game with an interesting story (I never would've finished it if it wasn't for the story), while AC2+ are good games (proper combat and AI would make them great) with average stories (although some of the dialog, especially in Revelations, is actually quite good... maybe even great).

So I finished the main story. Is there any way to enable those Desmond stuff without loosing everything?

And is it worth it? What's in there anyways? Something very important or?

Latest Skidrow crack should work with previous saves, although you will have to move them to "...\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame_storage\dGVtcGw=\40\". I'm not sure, though, since I haven't tried.

Anyway, Desmond memories just tell a little something about Desmond before AC1. It's interesting enough, but the gameplay in those sequences is not for everyone. First of, it's all in 1st person, and second, it doesn't feel like playing AC at all. I think they could've been done much better, but I enjoyed them enough to play through all of them. Try it and see... or just watch some videos on Youtube. Razz

Is there a savegame to unlock Rhodes in mediterranean defense?
I have all the premium stuff now, only Rhodes is missing.
If someone with a legit version plays all the Rhodes multiplayer maps and then uploads a save it should work..

I have pirate version and i can see it in my map, but can;t select.Guess you with legit one will be able.NOTE using this will screw your achievements!!Use if you don't care about achievements. There is also one installer in GCW maybe its ok.You can backup your saves and try both.
