this isnt an exploration game where the whole point is the journey and the sidemissions. the sandbox in this game purely exists to contain enemies to beat up, and a way to travel between missions...

anyway, im almost done. just have to find those fucking demon heads and do one more riddler glow-paint alignment and im done with the core game.

I'm planning to start playing this game in a week and I sort of stopped hoping for a proper scene release. So my question is: which version would you guys recommend? steam unlocked with neo crack 1.1? fightclub with their crack? which is the least problematic?

Soo after Skyrim, i tried out this. I loved the previous game.. but dunno.. somewhat im not so much into this one - and i hate all the backtracking to the same area over and over and over again.

On the other hand batman is such a ***** - can he at least once kill a baddie :< There he was.. in a cut scene holding a sword over a fallen villain - KILL HIM i yell - and he drops the sword :[

Dark knight... riiight xD

you do understand why the movie was titled, "the dark knight" right?
and it's not because "batman again" would have been a crappy title.

The game handled that by itself though, those last ending missions really changed the tone of the entire game and Batmans character too somewhat, kinda made me laugh but I sort-of also enjoyed it. Razz

Well, there have been deaths in the Batman universe. But the point is, that his parents got killed, and he values human life so much that he wouldn't kill anyone else, regardless of what they have done. The ever lasting "joke" at the end, where he and Joker find amusing is a large part of that - no matter what the Joker has done, Batman would have saved him.

Demanding that Batman kill is just ludicrous and shows deep lack of understanding of the character and its motivations.

Oh of course, I only know the very basics of the background stories (All I've seen are the various movies plus the previous game and the old NES title.) but it's made abundantly clear during the main story and several side missions though it seems odd how the game handled that.

EDIT: And of course there's the memorial to Bruce's parents you can perform which also shows what you described,.

 Spoiler:

Not too certain how to best describe it.
(Also Catwoman seems to have blinded Harvey on one eye judging by those huge scars, not entirely related to this though.)

I guess I'm mostly surprised with how it all concluded plus I wonder how they'll continue the story now, seems strange but maybe DC (WB?) isn't too restrictive with how that stuff is handled?
(Always seems to be a replacement at hand though, Robin has died a few times too hasn't he?)

Well, in the comics they kill characters too (including Batman) and blame it on the multiverse (there are many universes, so in one Batman dies, but in others he kicks ass).
But considering Mark Hamill said he won't voice the Joker character again, I think it is safe to assume that, in this universe, Joker is dead and will not appear again.

As for speculations on the sequel,

Azrael + Order of St. Dumas + Angry Pregnant Harley Quinn = interesting! Very Happy

Hah, a "fat" pregnant Harley might not sell very well (Judging by these two games portrayal of her.) but could perhaps be quite a interesting encounter, swinging a baseball bat around or some such as usual. (Hidden bat fetish perhaps, well more of a phobia now though.)

At any rate these two games have been great, hope they can continue without dumbing down the sequels too much, but who knows what will happen.
(There's certainly a interest in this franchise but we can just wait and see I guess.)

i dont see why harley couldnt have already had the kid. it might be interesting if she tries to wrestle back jokers territory (no doubt divided and snapped up by the other villians already) for jokers son, kinda taking on the sort of angry psycho mother role.

could be interesting, dotting on her kid in the same crazy way she did with joker.

but frankly i hope rocksteady are done focusing on joker. they gave him 2 great games and a great send-off (a great HAMIL send-off too), and i hope they are kinda done with him (or harley) in any central role - time to focus on other villains. id love to see more penguin (i enjoyed his portrayal in AC), and DEFINATELY more scarecrow.

no 2-face though please. i just find him really boring...

Oh I know, I also punched her a few times when she got tied up.
(OK so that was rude, alas any attempt of attack just goes straight trough her, even planted all that gel around.)

you may as well ask for it on old reel to reel tapes, or punchcards, or 8 track tapes.
