I think the confusion is because the patch is twice the size of what was originally announced. I'm also quite curious as to how they went from a 2gb patch to 3.9gb.
Pitch up/down is controlled by 1 binding only: mouse axis 1. From what I understand, negate only works when you have 2 separate buttons bound to opposite functions. E.g., the keyboard up and down arrows for controlling pitch.
Anyway, after experimenting with the config file, I've managed to invert y axis for jets only, and not helicopters. Note that a lot of trial and error was involved in getting the settings just right and so these steps may not be entirely full-proof.
1. Go to the in-game options menu and check vertical flight.
2. Open the config file as described in the link above.
3. Crtl-F and search for GstInput.Scheme2FlipY and GstInput.Scheme3FlipY. After enabling vertical flight, both of these should now be set to 1.
4. Change the former to GstInput.Scheme2FlipY 0 and leave the latter as GstInput.Scheme3FlipY 1.
5. Go in-game to test. Jets should now have inverted pitch control.
6. If the helicopter pitch is also inverted, simply go into options and uncheck vertical flight. Jets should still remain inverted.

IRNV whores? Have you watched the video? It's like all green fog. That's not even accurate.
Good, good.
But like someone said they could either add some 4x zoom or noise to the scope, guess we'll see/hear how bad it really is later today.

yeah, was our PC 500ish mb patch transformed in a ps3 800ish patch with irnv and tac light fix above all the other fix already deployed on the pc with that patch.
personally , i stopped using it a long time ago in the game, because i find it a joke. Yes it may be realistic, but i dont need no glorified texture hack to play this game.

Origin is just fucked, it also shows my download rate as double the bandwith I have. So devide everything by 2 what it sohws and it's good.
Mouse sensitivity was waaayyy higher, had to lower it from 8mm bar to 6mm bar Was fun ditching couple IRNV scopes though and use some "real" ones.
Server browser is starting to look good. Was indeed the right decision not to include it in the game. Fixes/improvements keep on coming and already used to it. Server country flags was a nice touch and pings to game. Now I can go back to the usual excuse "he had better ping" when I die
