since sausje fucking hijacked my other thread with bullshit, ill start a new one.

-------------

my 5.1 headphones just died, and im looking for a replacement. at the moment im looking at the new Razer tiamat 7.1 headset:

thoughts? are razer a decent brand for headphones? i would prefer not to go back to a stereo pair if possible (because i love my 5.1), but any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

also if you're just going to spam bullshit and flood the thread with crap, can you take it fucking elsewhere, im really looking for some help on this.

thanks.

Do you want headphones or headset? Pretty fucking big difference.
Anyway if you want a proper headset, get sennheiser PC350, you wont look back, trust me.

Either way, dont go Razer, from my experience their stuff has pretty bad quality.

I haven't tried the razor ones myself, but I'd bet a proper audio brand like Sennheiser or AKG would be a better choice as far as sound quality goes.

Check my thread if you are looking for ridiculously overpriced headphones => http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72843

I got shitload of propositions, but like 2 or 3 in my price range Razz

Wizard, do they sell these in a version without microphone?

Not from what I know, sorry, sennheiser 212 pro might suit you though? Quite cheap and not all too bad, what do you intend to use the headphones for?

Razer headphones are "decent" The sounds are a pretty good but they're...solid? Not warm like you would probably get from Sennheiser.

However, Razer's mics are absolutely fantastic. Only mic's I've heard in a while that are crystal clear to the point you think they're in the room with you.

I'm kind of in the same situation...I've been burning through cheaper ones like crazy. Some of the sound quality is fine but the wires near the joints are always so fucking frail. Actually went so far to use hot silicon on this pair so they last more than a year.

If you get a good result from this thread lemme know!
