How diffrent are the plane/choppers handling from Vice city, is it the same as in Vice city?

I normally have my Gamepad plugged in so when I got in a chopper in vice City I could control it without any problems.

ahh Almost Friday now.

Game is crashing once in a while here to

I am running on a :
AMD XP3200+
1 GIG Corsair PC3200 Cas 2
Geforce 6800 265mb DDr
Soundblaster Live 5.1 Audio
Western Digital 10.000 RPM Hard Drive
Sony 23" Plasma Widescreen

Every once in a while the graphics are a bit corrupt and in the last couple hours the game crached to my dekstop twice.
I didn't have any problems with my audio though.

Vidseosettings in game are all at maximum.
1024x768, AA x 3, details very high.

I don't know how to see the FPS so i can't tell ya

No problems of any kind; audio, video, performance, gameplay, etc. On top of that, i'm extremely pleased with how fun the game is. I'm enjoying it much more than I enjoyed my ps2 copy (which I couldn't really get into), and am glad I put up the money to buy it, as it's definately worth the cash.

Turning off the mouse Y invert helped me *a lot* with controlling the camera, now I *love* using the camera to control view, because so many other games use this style that i've enjoyed.

Currently running at 1024x768 with 4x AA, and everything else enabled and set to high, with 30-40 fps at all times. I have no complaints about the performance.

Currently running: Athlon XP 2600 2.1ghz, 768mb DDR, BFG GeForce 6800 GT

Despite what i've been reading in most reviews, I don't think 1 gig of ram is neccesary.

Quick question to everyone: How do you recruit people into your gang? I've read that in the ps2 version, you press up on the d-pad while targeting someone, but that doesn't seem to work in the pc version.

press "y" instead, but you must have enough respect before you can do this. The game lets you know when you can do this and how

same goes with picking up prossies... honk your horn (oh err) then press "y" when your asked if you "would like a good time honey"

(yes its the hoodlum release, yes i used that thing..)

If your running WindowBlinds, unload it. That causes a black screen and return to desktop with the hoodlum exe

Werd. Thanks. Speaking of hoes, has anyone tried the pimping missions? Hell of a lot of fun. It's like a minigame version of crazy taxis. Beating up the cheapskate johns is the most fun part, I think, considering i've got my dude's muscles maxed out.

I have a shitty old AMD 1600+ (1.2 GHz) with 512 MB RAM and a 64 MB GeForce3Ti200 and the game runs beautifully at 1024x768 with details on very high and draw distance maxed out. No AA though, since that kills my computer. But who cares? The game is so much fun I wouldn't care if it looked like GTA3. The music totally kicks ass too. No bugs, but a few graphic glitches (probably becasue of my card though, I get them in every game). This is the best game ever released.

I guess im one of the very few who are getting the game to crash all the time, fucking thing crashes to desk top at random times, its not just mission 3 either.

Anyone else with this trouble? Recommendations? Was the hoodlum crack supposed to be the same size as the original i was asked to replace, 13.7MB for 13.7mb?
