my downloads with web browers seem to be constantly pausing, i can continue them but its annoying to do that all the time...
im not having this prob with torrents....

For file sharing sites,Jdownloader is much better.But for any other kind of download,browser download is enough.

JDownloader for file sharing yes but for anything else todays browser downloads are much more convenient than a third party app.

All the inbuilt browsers gimp your speeds for downloading and offer extremely limited options.
Download manager for filesharing and general web downloading is much better.

I am downloading with firefox and it cant be any easier.
And usually most of bigger files are on torrent sites so browser downloading is only for small-medium files

If with downloading gets meant "films/games/music and so on" then yea, i don't use browser.
But for everything else.. why not?
Bullshit about not getting max speed, i'm getting around 13-15mb/s quite fine, aslong as the bandwidth on their side allows it.
Anyway, shouldn't this be in software section?
Don't see how this is hardware related...

Depends on the site.
There will be many places you will see a gimped download speed while using the browser.
But if you attempt the same download with IDM or the like you will get it much faster.
I didn't think any of you guys would be using these inbuilt downloaders.

Oh so i might get 10mb/s instead of 15... going to take 30 secs longer OMDPIHGOWIGDFOQWBDBBQWTF
Installing more random bullcrap on the other hand... 
Downloaders are so 2000 when people actually tought that you could download faster but just connecting to the same download 5x

Like i said, with current internet speed people have, such downloader is hardly worth mentioning.
But you prolly have 10mbit internet, yea then you might notice not having 50kb/s extra speed 
Me with 120mbit don't notice if my download goes faster or slower by 1% or even 5%
Oh and FYI, EVERYTHING has impact on performance. No matter how little it is, it does. Period.
So go bullshit elsewere.

Plus if a site has 50kb/s speeds only in these days, that website will hardly get used anyway.
How can you say that the software you use is "better", god hard facts to proof your point?

It's clear too see with all the features on offer in a manager like IDM why it's a million times better software than any of the inbuilt browsers.
Do you really need it explaining to you?

Go read about all the features there if you are interested.
Example would be any site where you want to take content but get crappy download speeds with your inbuilt browser.
Try it yourself then try with IDM and almost guaranteed you will get better results.
You will also have a plethora of more options for downloading scheduling and speed limiting etc etc etc that you just don't have with the kind of basic downloaders that are included in browsers.
I'm actually surprised so many of you guys don't already know about this stuff.
It's essential software for me like winrar etc

Dont worry we know about the program.I am waiting for a example site when i will have crappy 50kb/s download and with IDM will have magically 1MB/s...Explain please what is the mechanism behind this "increasing of speed".

I just did a personal test, 13.5Mb/s without 13.9Mb/s with... (this was only from 1 website tho, don't get your hopes up and epeen bigger.)
Difference in total download time for 1Gb was 1 sec.
Yea totally worth having installed

And yes, a website does lie about shit to get their product sold. EVERY company does that within a certain marge.
But yea, we are all derps because we are not having this piece of software that is uber amazing and forged by god his hands.
