i'm going to be a father
neah, just kidding
i no longer feel the need to play anything, sure bf3 would be a good waste of time, but i don't really miss it, haven't played in like 4 weeks and now that i've got a steady job isn't helping either
sadly though, i'm dissapointed in myself for giving up, i thought this passion would last well in my later years, which probably won't
the only reason that will keep me playing game will be that i've invested money or bandwith in them, but unless Dishonored will spin my head around, i won't be in 'love' with games like i was for 15 years.

I run into that sensation now and then.. It's rather disappointing. It leaves a bit of gap in the mind that misses that stimuli of gameplay.
Luckily for me when new games start pouring out (Like Q4 this year did) the feelings return and I cannot wait to start playing again.
Hopefully you'll get yours back too mate.

I know the feeling very well, although this awesome 2011 with DXHR, TW2, Skyrim, Batman, BF3 and many other gems (indie games included) managed to "light the passion again".
It's not the same love as before, and probably my standards have been lowered..but fortunately games can still entertain me a lot. I bet it's a temporary situation, I think in the near future you'll be able to find your fun again

Nope. Nothing like that here. Love playing games and the desire to do so has even increased through the years.

This! There may be a lot of shit these days, but it certainly hasn't caused my love of gaming to wane.
