I've installed the directx from the installer folder in my BF3 folder before playing the game.
Isn;t that enough ? I have never encountered this shit, and im scared because i had nightmares with that cdd.dll which is a video driver issue, on my las pc .

The C4 never explodes here when I do that, only when the distance between placing it and target is VERY low. How do you do that then?
How low? I think it works up to ~70-100 meters. You can't blow shit up from across the map, that's for sure
Yeah, but I place it on the vehicle, drive 1000 meters or so, jump out, press explode and nothing happens. Very frustrating and costed me a LOT of kills.
I'm specializing with the irnv and I must say that..I take everything back, do not nerf it pl0x, it's good as it is!
I've gone back to playing this regularly and I must admit that some of my IRNV bitching was mostly for being some time without playing and then getting pwned left and right while seeing 70-80% of the players using it.
That said, I still think it needs some nerfing and the "zoom" that was present on that PS3 video seems like a nice solution.

Spot the player who needs his little irnv crutch, also no offence but nobody owns me in bf3 or any other shooter thats just the way it is, me using the irnv is just me been shitty seen as i do more than ok with iron sights. For some it is the best way of exploiting kills, its not a million miles away from an old school texture hack.
Go cry baby on the battlefield 3 forums, something like "please dont nerf the irnv its fine"

Yep, just watched the video and it's definitely harder (and better) now. No more "super-clean Predator view" even if the enemy is 1000km away hiding behind a bush
Mother fucker! I haven't been able to play in 2 days because of this bullshit stuck on Joining Server > Nothing I do is working, restarded router and modem, flushed DHCP, tried different ports on the modem...nothing..fucking...works.
I was expecting some new screens, but those are just stills from the trailer released a couple of days ago, which is the same you also posted. But, i have to admit yours in glorious 1080p is just amazing.

I don't know if this is going to be of any help for you, but the only occurrence of that problem for me happened when I tested running the bf3.exe with administrators rights. That fucked a lot of things and that endless "Joining Server" was one of them. I reverted the change on bf3.exe, rebooted and all fixed.
Did a clean Win7 install today, and I was eager to see if it fixed any of BF3's crash bugs.
All I had installed on the system (literally) was Firefox with no plugins, the latest recommended BF3 NVIDIA drivers, the DX-redist that was included with BF3, and BF3 itself.
First server I join, surprise surprise, BF3 has stopped responding.
DICE needs to get some technical patches out ASAP and stop dicking around.

I had that before, reason was that after starting the first game i got a crash wich i didn't see because i was still viewing the battlelog.
And every time i started a new game i got stuck on joining server, closing bf3 fixed it.
Usually it was a black screen with the first game, now it's always the game crashing.
But why it only happens when playing the first game of the day i don't know.
I had some crashes a while ago; game would indeed stop responding randomly, always followed by a black screen on the next boot. Third time would be the charm. Haven't had it since I updated to 11.10.
Have you guys tried using an older driver from NVIDIA?
I had the same problems Werelds, but with the patch they are gone.had to restart 3 times to get in the first game, after that everything was just fine:)
