Really? I had to defeat the main mage and then three daedra mages which were tough as hell. The one I had to kill was all the way down inside the crystal so I had to get past the three daedra mages to get to him which wasn't easy.

Small Q to those that played it with more than 1 character (maybe).

I thought assassin would be fun, but i find myself getting bored of sneaking around 24/7 and just 1 shotting everyone even on the hardest level.

How's warrior? Shield + 1h? Does the combat vary? Or should i just go mage (i imagine it has the greatest variety of them all)

I'd go mage - it has the most variety next to being an assassin. And yeah, being an assassin is very easy 95% of the time - you do massive damage and most of the time, everything is dead before anyone ever spots me so it's not very challenging even at the hardest of times.

Of course, if it was harder, it would immediately become a LOT harder or repetitive because you take a lot of damage in light armour.

By "fucked" you mean come back 5 minutes later when know what you're going to face so you can prepare yourself with proper spells and what now ? Bad design because you cant clear 1 of 10 dungeons without proper spells or gear? Right right.. good point there

That mage spawns close to you and will fight for a bit and then retreat, if you don't kill him then those three Daedra dremora (Valkynaz at higher player levels?) will join the fight as well.

My character is a walking oblivion. Everyone is 1 to 4 hits to kill + all i hit turns into flames Laughing And I look like devil in that daedric armor:lol:

it reminds me of morrowind. both games can be exploited to maximum. In morrowind ,I knew world layout so well, that I could 15 minutes into the game rob all 3-4 treasure rooms, Sell them to guy who had most money in the game(5k which respawned every day) and i could train the hell out of my character by npc training for gold.
1hour into morrowin and I was level 30+ tank Laughing

in Skyrim(as I would restart it now) - most exploited skill is smithing - I go to couple of fast dungeons. Find items, Enchant them before selling for higher price(also exploited) ->buy 100000 of iron inglots and leather. produce houndreds of daggers and reach 100mitihing in hour or two. Same goes for alchemy and enchanting(tho a bit longer)

I might not remember correctly but I think Oblivion wasnt just as exploited as these 2 games. I remember getting best stuff at the end of the game... or maybe ... for sure i remember i was exploiting blocking and heavy armor in oblivion, just by standing and being attacked by rats while blocking Laughing

ANYWAY:
I think I can more/less summarize my opinion now. First. I loved Morrowind and Oblivion(besides emm... oblivion gates but GUILDS!) and this one seems like it is what those other two games wanted to be. It is detailed, dungeons are interesting, characters look more realistic(tho they all look a bit too "human", like human with teeth is orc), music is a mix of morrowind ambients and oblivion battles.
Everything fits and is quite perfect. Not every quest is interesting and miscelaus tab is 90%crap fetch quests. But now Ive found myself finished main plot, having exploited 30lvl killer character and out of motivation for doing companion or brotherhood. Dunno why. I have to just start those tonight and see how it goes.

I think that (it might be my failure) there is a problem with leveling pace vs game progress and it lacks naturall progression

To be honest, I never read the books so you may have a point there. The reason I don't read the books, is Bethesda's fault. I have a poor memory and there's a gazillion books - I started collecting the ones I thought I had yet to read and was planning to read them when I felt like it, only for me to get BURRIED in them because the game doesn't actually keep track of the ones you've already read. Combined with the horrible UI, I simply gave up. I really hope a mod will be released that will help you track the books you've been reading because there's just too many (and some are so long) - the only solution I see, is to read them in a store and sell them after you're done, and even then it means I can't collect the books in my home.

Are you saying Bethesda made a mistake by including so many books, which are written very well? I agree the books that are read should be tagged, but a game can never have enough lore imo.

@KillerCrocker: what difficulty are you using?

Bug.
Form wiki:

"Tolfdir may not show up to Saarthal in the first place, effectively disappearing from the game. This can be fixed by going back to the College, entering and exiting the Hall of Elements, and fast-traveling back to Saarthal."

Thanks man, I figured that out by myself...he he...
Went back and forth and there they were...Retarded...

You can't "come back" - you're inside the crystal and can't leave until you defeat them. Unless you mean "reload to an older save" which is still weak game design when you have to reload because they messed up.

Maybe he did for you. I replayed this part many times and he NEVER spawned close - he was always all the way down in the crystal and the daedra are immediately running on the stairs towards me.

just ask the developers of the new Hitman game. Having to quickload saves to retry is just a crappy way of playing. it's better if you win on first try.

Apparently it's pretty poor and the (Also added in this driver.) MW3 profile should be used instead. Smile
(Then again that might just mean it's a little darker or maybe more performance friendly, don't have much info other than a few comments suggesting said change.)

Heh, I guess DLC will rely on the patch of land between Whiterun and Markarth, seems to be the only zone on that map with no content. Razz
(Probably there's something there also but similar to those other unmarked points of interests.)

During Azura's quest you're put inside a crystal where you have to defeat 4 mages that are pretty damn powerful - they're much stronger than you, too. You can't hide there, so your bow does regular damage. Note that I had the best gear and bow I could have (all fully enchanted - enchantments were at 90 so very good). And guess what? I died in three blasts.

Im a sneaky char as well, had no problem with this part of the quest. Have you even tried to dodge the attacks from the mages? Remember you have critical shots with your bow as well as power shots, which stagger your enemies, so being "hidden" to have 3x damage is not the only advantage. And your main goal was supposed to kill the main mage as that would teleport you back to Skyrim even if you didnt kill the rest.

loving everything about this game! I gotta understand more about the factions,

If i am to join the stormcloak rebellion, am I hostile to all legion guards and imperial cities?
does join the imperial legion prevent me from joining the thieves and darkbrotherhood guilds since they are considered 'bad' ?
can I just join the stormcloak, companions, thieves, drakbrotherhood and the mages guild with no consequences?
