Just finished the game..it was pretty decent..but i loved Brotherhood the most in the series..my order goes like this..AC:BH>AC:2>AC:R>AC:1..now just waiting for the damn crackfix, to also finish Desmond's memories
I would say ACII was most boring.
And then yes - brotherhood was the best

Yeah because everything got such a big improvement with ACII and afterwards..and i didn't liked the kingdom where you had to travel with your horse beetwen cities..that's why i rated it the worst out of all 4
You could fast travel between cities, you only had to travel by horse when you visited the city for the first time.
Yeah i know, but i still hated that kingdom ..but it doesn't matter what it matters is that i would still rated it worst just because of the all great improvements the game got afterwards

"Universal carck" method still works, no need for Skidrows crack (if you are starting a new [patched] game).
If you are using Skidrows files (to keep your savestates) make sure you keep only the ".dll"s and the orbit folder. No need to replace the (updated) ".exe" files. Game will run fine, except Desmond's memories.

I kept mine intact, didn't change a thing and the game still works with the update installed and the previous crack

Lol yes. AC1 was fucking awful. AC2 is such a massive improvement in every single department that I have no idea how it's the same developers who made it. ACB is slightly better, if not for the lack of shitty DLC missions that AC2 had which made me want to throw my computer against a wall. Instead brotherhood has these as sidequests, with a shitty ending sequence.
However all the AC games have a shitty last 10% I've found. Like once you get the apple in ACB the whole game goes downhill. ACB however has tons of great things:
Dungeon Diving
not too much stealth missions if at all (don't be seen missions are awful)
locations of feathers and collectables
economy and rewards
customization of the PC
assassin guild
etc
