Played a bit, and suprisingly pretty much this is my opinion about the game too:

The combat is absolutely stupid though... same old braindead MMO combat.

Yeah, I guess so. The thing that keeps me in the game is the fact that it's Star Wars and there's more stuff related to the main story than in other MMOs.

Yeah, well, I told you guys months ago, that the combat is uninspired, and I wasn't lying. Shame. If this had a deeper RPG mechanic and combat, as well as a bit more opened world, then it would have been a pre-order for me.
It has a good chance of taking quite a chunk out of WoW's player base, so I can't completely blame the developers, when they stand to gain so much out of taking this route, but I can't help but think, that this will have a lasting impact on the MMO genre. We'll never get a high budget sandbox

Testing is going surprisingly smooth. Was able to play pretty much minutes from when they unlocked the servers at scheduled time.
I like it so far. Standard MMO mechanics and gameplay but I don't really mind that, played plenty of MMOs and most of them were the same way, and those that weren't had other limitations. SW universe and interesting story makes it good enough for me to play. Actually better than good, great.
In fact I can say I'm enjoying it more than any other MMO I played, just because the story and missions remind me of a SP game so it doesn't feel like a dull quest grind like most other MMOs.

level 10 and the craft-companion missions are quite fun for a crafting tedious system.

Won't say alot better, but yea jpg takes away abit of quality, but quality is not graphics, and i think that's what he means.

Skyrim awaits and I don't want to spoil it for myself too much so I'm done with the beta. Level 11 and just got my advanced class. Was planning on playing a sith on release, but I really enjoyed my bounty hunter so I'm not sure anymore.
Going to sub but i knew that even before I tried it.

I enjoy game so far, Level 12 Jedi Counselor, so far i like it, but i can feel it will be boring after hitting level 25-30.

do you have to do quests by yourself or only PvP combats ? (sorry, didn't DL the beta)

Its alot more story driven, even though I dont know if you're able to fail a specific mission or if you can continue as long as you dont get killed.
Played both jedi and sith and I gotta say the sith character is so much more interesting plus korriban is my fav SW planet.
Can you use the same character in the finished game as in the beta?
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!
