@JB: if you find some interesting .ini tweaks to improve the game share them as always 
I'm downloading it, let's see if it's really as bad as people say  (didn't try the official demo)

The demo was so terrible I didn't even finish it. I am not downloading this unless people somehow fall in love with it.

Hmm, can't start the game at all. Crashes everytime. Tried running as an admin, re-installed two times on different partitions, vcredist + directx are installed, tried windows xp and vista compatibility and nothing.

It seems the faulting module is binkw32.dll every fucking time. And currently I'm unable to start the game at all because of it. :\

Extracting and installing now Steel, I'll let you know whether it's working or not. In the meantime why not try copying an existing bink library from another game? It can't hurt to try.

Might be able to remove the intro but it kinda explains the story.
(After WW3 - which happened as the Cold War never really ended - Poland survives- of all possible countries - thanks to huge underground complexes but in turn they tend to go insane.)

Damn, sorry to tell you.. but mine works perfectly. No issues with bink or anything. Perhaps a corrupted install? Try blanking it and reinstalling. Failing that it could even be a corrupted download, I doubt it's a Bink issue as other games using Bink work ok, right?
Oh and you can remove the .BIK movies out of "\RascalGame\Movies" folder. Just rename or delete or even delete and create empty text files with the same names, just in case the game complains of missing files.

Re-downloaded the game twice and have probably installed it four separate times by now. Still a no-go. Other games work splendidly.
Mind sharing your binkw32.dll file?

Let's review the game.
The menu comes with the advanced options typical of the most polished PC games:
The graphics are excellent, great use of nextgen effects, such as a very subtle bloom:
and more bloom because it's really amazing especially in motion:
The melee system is just brilliant, lifelike animations and tons of different combos, the screen doesn't make justice to the game:
Shooting is great as well, headshots are very difficult too and enemies are tough:
The story seems to be extremely interesting so far, and the cinematics are absolutely stunning, great direction + superb voice acting, achieving a hollywoodian top quality, really unexpected:
I'd say it's a solid 8/10 so far, even better than Dead Space.
