depending on what you're using them for, check out the good old AKG K-121
they cost a bit more than the creative ones, but the quality difference should be worth it and AKG headphones are generally more comfortable, especially for bigger ears

Steelseries Siberia V2 are very comfy also has pretty damn good sound considering how cheap they are. Also has very nice quality mic.

+1. Not that I have much experience in the area but my AKG K-242 HD sound fantastic.

Are you sure it's that they are too small and not just new? I have the same problem with newer headphones but after they're on my head for a while and loosen up, they stop hurting my ears so much.

Good the 5.1 works flawless, you gotta think. This is TRUE 5.1, not some crappy emulated.
Back then i bought them for MW2 and it improved me alot (compared to old crappy 2.0 ones).
The sound that is supposed to come from the back speakers does sound perfect like they are behind you.
But you cannot really say how good a headset really is untill you try it yourself.
