The game is not working here either...and my Xbox is a NTSC...going to grab the PAL one..it might work better

ok all pal usrs can breathe easier as Xtasy has released the pal version now Smile SO NOW STOP WHINING ON LIKE LITTLE KIDS.

As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

well i had the same probs on my PAL console with this dagger release , so i got the retail PAL version this morning and replaced the default.xbe on my xbox hdd from the dagger realese with PAL retail one and it works great , no messing with video mode or config magic or nuffin Very Happy

Delete the save game created and then follow .ini . This eventually worked for me

PAL is out now , so would it be possible just to trade .xbes from ntsc - pal ?

Worked for me first time with the settings used to play monkeyball as GP Force pointed out (Thx) - that was on a PAL Xbox with Executor 2.3 running Unleash X as the dash.

Game seems really nice the graphics really aren't that bad at all its an ambitious game so you would expect the odd jaggies in game, looks fine to me though.

Now to the pc version Very Happy

use configmagic to change your xbox region to region 1 update your eeprom, then lock your hd.

You have to look for the spinning 2 player markers dotted around San Andreas dont know how many there are but I remember there being one behind a fence close to "Big Smokes" house, theres another in one of the garages when your at those markers the second player just had to press start on their controller to join in - you use the same screen though so its tricky to say the least.

Is 2 player even in the Xbox version? I heard some rumours that it had been removed perhaps that was just the pc version though or they were just bullshit who knows. Havent had the chance myself to burn and test yet but will try out in a few hours and let you know. Wink


just played for a couple of hours and tested the 2 player it certainly is included in the xbox version to play go to Big Smokies house, face his front door then turn right 90 degrees run along in that direction till you come to an archway go through it then climb over the fence to where you see a spinning 2 player icon.

Player 2 then has to hit start on there controller Wink

try setting your video settings to normal in stead of widescreen (if it is set on widescreen). Solved it for me.

Playing like a madman now.... I even have to eat in GTA SA or I get to skinny Laughing


Yep fixed it for me but note that you have to change it in Ms dash as in unleashx it didn't work

U dont actually have to run this game in NTSC so using enigmah doesnt really help. I can play in either NTSC or PAL, its just evox that need those settings for some reason.


Im NOT using enigmah, that was the whole idea of my post...

What does unleash video mode do compared to enigmah?

So unleashx does NOT change the videomode "better" than enigmah.

Its the gameregoin that needs to be set and as other people have stated widescreen doesnt seem to work either...

I can't run the game in PAL

If use enigmah and change it to NTSC nothing happens, still the same thing as in PAL, dash reboot

If I use unleashx and use multimode /NTSC M the game works, did the same thing on monkeyball.....

I can set my box to PAL in enigmah and set Auto Switch to No in UnleashX and it still works so dont know what your ROFL is about.
I can even put auto switch to ON and choose PAL in unleashx and it works so.....

Edit now I can run the game in XBMC aswell Smile
And this is using xbmc as default dashboard..

Ok.

Very weird that I got it running in xbmc and avalaunch now both in NTSC and in PAL.
This could perhaps be because of a previosuly GTA:SA save.

Anyway now tthe game works like it should no evox.ini no fixes no autoswitches no need to go through enigmah or similar.

It works no matter what videomode EXCEPT widescreen Sad

And I can launch it from any dash Smile

I seem to have got mine working with a :

Softmodded PAL Xbox 1.6
EvoX

Never had to change a thing , kind of suprised since my xbox is PAL?
Oh well , Back to GTA Razz

But i have to say , it kinda looks worse than the PS2 Version? :S
Prob just me i guess.. lol

Well it worked for me with no problem. You need to put the xbox in NTSC mode with the Enigmah Videoselector PAL/NTSC switch and then in your evolution-x settings you have to go to Game region and change that one in NTSC North Amerika instead of Default.

It worked for me after I switched from Default to Auto on region settings... But my TV couldn't handle NTSC so I got all black & white...
To my happiness I found a fix for this. There is a patched Question default.xbe file out that makes the game playable on tv's without support for NTSC.

No idea what the real release name is as I got it as the xbe only... Probably and iND release anyway... Should help someone... Razz

the most annoying thing about this game is the fact u cannot create 2 user profiles on 1 machine as i want to play this and so does my son but it cant be done as u do not create a profle so this means only one person can play the game on 1 xbox :(now thats really dumb.
