The security key is a code generated by the keychain fob that comes with the retail collectors edition and which will be sold separately for everyone else after launch. It's optional, just like the default text says (and obviously not applicable either way until launch anyway).

As well as queues to get into the server, they are also doing the same wave thing as early access, staggering the times they will let people in based on when they accepted the invite. Feel sorry for the poor bastards that don't accept until late in the week - they won't be allowed in until Sunday (which hardly makes it even worth the bother).
I have been in beta since Oct of 2010, lol. Over a year! I keep coming back build after build, but the game is so much like WoW that I get bored a few days into each build. I think that I will be skipping this one.
It being like WoW is nothing wrong. WoW has a proven MMO formula that works well for most people, including me. If it's a "WoW with lightsabers" then great, I love WoW and I love Star Wars.
I jsut hope I'm able to actually play enough this weekend to be able to decide what class to play. Several seem interesting and it would be nice to find the right one before relase.

They should really not invite people randomly but in the order they registered or something.... If anyone is bored with the general beta, i could use a taste (
holy fuck worst downloader/installer ever.. np it needs 21~ gb.. okey, i uninstall some crap, well 24~ gb free.. should be totally fine.. so after it actually downloads at that humongous slow download speed..
i can understand OMG TOR 5mln ppl downloading, thats why you get freaking torrent based downloader..
fun part came when it started installing, and said it cant because there isnt enough space.. and i had 11+ gb free.. so i thought well thats one huge file? or some shit, i clear another 5gb.. nothing happens, well i thought ill quit and restart.. and here we go i have to redownload whole 12gb again..

i didn't watch to close what launcher did, but, i got the launcher, put the corect path in there, downloaded with ~5-8MB, and done. no install, no nothing.
18.5 gigs here aswell.
my friend beta client (where i played before) was close to 30gb, but he had been in all beta. maybe there was some residual crap from patching in his.
or some hidden porn .

yet i do those constantly and fragmentation have nothing to do with space you got to work with on hd, nor does windows, or any games use free space from secondary hdd ( apart saving files, which is bit different than using free space to work , that is done in main partition with windows in it )
so for all i care i could have 2gb free and shit would be just fine

Seriously? No, it's not a myth, it's common sense, and it's impossible to defragment a full hd, specially one with huge files.
