Steam and GFWL achievements unlock without VPN, just launch the exe directly, as it has been said multiple times, not through the Steam's games list.
Not totally true, i been playing it via the above, GFWL achieves are unlocking fine, but i have not unlocked any steam ones. So i think bypassing steam and using the exe directly stops most of the steam functionality, as i cant use the steam overlay or take screen shots.
Note: Could just be me, but just passing on my experience with them.
I get notifications of both Steam and GFWL achies unlocking simultaneously. Even though I don't have a play button, they still show up on my profile just fine.

It's definitely just you, I just posted screens so you can see that they unlock. Steam overlay works as well for me. And the screenshots I posted here earlier are from my Steam profile gallery, so I can take screenshots too.

It's definitely just you, I just posted screens so you can see that they unlock. Steam overlay works as well for me. And the screenshots I posted here earlier are from my Steam profile gallery, so I can take screenshots too.

It takes a while for steam to open, or at least it did for me.
Anyway, managed to play the game thanks to Neon instructions.

I get that too. Sometimes I get it right in the menu, sometimes when loading the save, and sometimes it just never comes up. It either happens very soon, or not at all.

just finished zsazs miniquest, ass creed style
after several hours played, the game is quite good, the only thing i dont like so far is the story but will see how it develops
