Any LEGIT Steam owners here having trouble playing this in DX10/DX11 mode? DX9 works perfectly, DX10 WORKED perfectly a couple days ago, but now it won't load at all. Doesn't even get through the publisher/developer logos before eventually crashing. If I hammer the enter button to skip them, it will just crash on the copyright information screen or - if quick enough to get passed that - it will crash on the "This game uses an autosave system" message screen.
I've done a verify file integrity scan, it says it failed on one file and redownloads it. Run the game again; crash. Verify again; same 1 file damaged and redownloading.
It's really, REALLY pissing me off.

NVM. I fixed it. Set "saintsrowthethird_dx11.exe" to run in Vista SP2 compatibility mode and it worked =) Saves work, no crashes, just fine =)

Try running the DirectX installer. I recommend the websetup one, that will update your DirectX to the latest one. There's NO reason for the game to complain about missing d3d11 unless you don't already have it installed.

I will in a sec, I will try and update Nvidia drivers first.
But it should work if I launch in Dx 9 mode even if I don't have Dx 11, shoudn't it?
EDIT;
Updated my drivers and installed the one you gave me the link.
Still crashes, but I discovered that when I run in DX10/11, on the Crash Report it says;
"Fault Module Name: d3d11.dll"
but when I run in DX9 it says:
"Fault Module Name: Secur32.dll"
Anyways, goddamnit game, I want to play you.
EDIT2; Gonna DL the Skidrow update, see if it helps, will report back.
EDIT3; @ Sausje, I've reinstalled the game a couple of times already, didn't help.

Seems like ALOT of things are fucked over there, just do a quick reinstall and be done with it. Saves you alot of time and stress

Ok, I've reinstalled the game, installed the Skidrows update but the game still doesn't work.
Fuck.

I dl'ed the "no cheats enabled" crack, and now it works perfectly.

The game is damn good. Pure brainless fun just like I expected, a perfect way to vent the tension

Same here, it's not an extremely beautiful game but at least the performance is fabulous even on very high settings (except for the ssao which is a framerate killer for some unknown reason)

In one of the early video's, i saw a big floating thing in the air (like BF2142 titan), anyone saw this thing yet?
Or find what video, cant find it.

Haven't seen that video but in Whored Mode there's a map like that I believe.

I can’t get the game to save. I tried Xav’s fix…my problem is that I can’t copy over the entire Skidrow crack files. If I do…the game won’t start at all. I can only copy over the game.exes…not the steam files.
So…I have the game running…but still can’t save!
Can anyone help me out with the save game issues?

Grr. As soon as i launch the game in DX 9 or DX10,11 version, it doesnt matter which one, it says that the game has stopped working. Have SKIDROW version. Whats the matter?

I used that bloody dlc crack thing and its only done for dx10/11 still works fine  not crashed out of sr3 yet luckily.. would u like a trusty 4870 back sabin |

Nope, I have the same strange problem and I'm playing with SKIDROW's release. I'm playing the game in DX9 anyway, but it worked in DX10/11 too. Now it works only in DX9. Also, did anyone manage to solve that crash when you exit the gang customization? It seems not everybody has it (and by everybody I mean everybody, those you bought it and those who pirated).

I've yet to have the game crash once on me, actually. It has gotten stuck in a loadscreen twice though.
Still, not bad when I've got over 30 hours played.

Hmm i got it running now but its stuttering when im driving around. In action scenes and when im just standing around its fine but when the picture has to load quickly when im driving then the FPS comes way down. Any fix to that? Or is ATI to blame again?

its stuttering because you are bottlenecked im thinking.. if ur at 2.33ghz on that duo core with a high end card you're bandwidth across the main board is saying fucksake let me breath more!!! |
