i just tried it and it didnt work,still launches Origin.
Was using the Origin-free exe for a while but i got scared and replaced it with the regular one

But Steam actually sucked pretty hard in the beginning. Buggy as hell and lots of problems

Steam still sucks , it just suck less than it did in it's early days.
I miss the good old days of in game server browsers. . Sure sometimes those were buggy as fuck (like in the launch period of BF2 , Bad Company 2 ect) but at least there was no need to install a shitty 3rd party application to play online.
Apps like Steam , Origin ect are just a subtle way for company to bombard us with ads and try to sell us their products.
Its inconvenient for the user to have to competing programs do the exact same thing. The positives of the software disappears if 50% of your friend base is primarily using Origin and the other uses Steam, imo.
And right now Steam provides so much more than Origin does.
anyone else having issues with jet acceleration ? for some weird reasons, my jet keeps slowing down (acceleration pressed or not) and then its like the engine reboots and i win speed again (or i use afterburner to get to 300+mph all the time lol).
this has led to some weird situations , like me landing on spots hardly big enough for the jet (unwillingly, mind you) and some pretty weird take off after wards (gunning through buildings to clear a path, from inside the river etc).

I only see this when hit the flight ceiling or the map borders. never happened to me randomly

e.g. i accelerate and take off and already acceleration stops working and im losing speed, if i dont use the afterburner, i simply land somewhere (like i wrote in last post).
