This. Any way to do it? |
No way to do this? I'll be fine with a fix even if it disables all the DLCs,

What I find baffling is that the "downloadable content" button in the main menu doesn't work O.o
so there's not even a way to tell what dlc is installed.

It's because it opens Steam when clicking the button in the legit version.

Did u try changing the player "name" in the ini file of skidrow.ini as it says you probably want to do this.. ?
it dont seem to hold my 1920 screen res on 1080p though and the options for all the gfx like lighting etc is greyed out i cant seem to choose other than a preset..
ah i see custom shit.
# Preset is a number between 1 and 5 for low, medium, high, ultra-high, and custom.
# Custom allows the rest of the settings below to be edited in the UI.

Meh and I was already hoping this would work xD
I don't care about the weapons/cars/clothes that get unlocked with the dlc. It's the whole shabang of abilities and whatnot. And the fact that you just get to take over a neighbourhood completely without doing anything (or maybe that just was a glitch? Here's to hoping it is... )

This game is fucking phenomenally fun - much more so than GTA IV. I don't usually find myself enjoying games where a large portion consists of just messing around, but this one is an exception. Not regretting paying full retail for it in the slightest.
Does anyone know the name of the chiptune that plays.....
Spoiler: |
On the http://deckers.die mission where you are controlling the little virtual reality tank shooting at the blue tank? It was pretty fucking epic! Also, the rest of the music on the virtual reality levels was cool as well!

Great game , doesn't run very well for me tho..even in dx9 mode. 360 version runs better than on my PC , so I will stick with it..

its a nice game it has some optimization issues im sure but it still plays pretty well, shame about the hood thing not sure how bad that is taking one over, pick the area u start in with first appartment i guess, it only completes missions at that time i think, and you would have none or should have none in list being done. still it probably isolates the whole area from mission running?
Nicely put together game though, its still a port i dont give a shit what they say about pc special attention its a port for sure... but its done well.. lets see what happens regarding crack updates/dlc and gameplay and patches.
its all been rather hillarious though so far on the fun side

Soooo. I put about 2 hours into now. Been just running around doing shit exploring the city and so on. Here are a couple of my thoughts so far:
Most of this is a 'this kinda bugs me but if it turns out that it changes later in the game I'm cool with it':
If the map stays as it is now the game feels alot smaller than SR2 did (and I'm pretty sure that's not my nostalgia kicking in).
There are a lot less activities as it seems
Same goes for shops. Granted the clothing stores carry more stuff than in previous games but it just adds to the 'feels a whole lot smaller' feeling I'm getting.
I mean yes there's more clothes - I think - but it's less 'variable' than before. I mean, you buy a shirt with a tie. In SR2 you could perhaps wear the shirt tucked, untucked with tie without etc. Of course it's only cosmetic stuff but tbh I always had a lot of fun running around buying clothes until I managed to put together an outfit I liked.
Oh and one thing I just thought of: No more calling taxis, 911 or whatever. Since the map seems rather small I suppose cabs aren't necessarily needed but the ability to call an ambulance was quite nice to have.
And last but not least: I should NEVER EVER play a female character in a game like this. I'm spending most of my time making her look like the sluttiest hooker that has ever walked the sidewalk...
edit:
and no I did not just pay god knows how much money to turn a hearse into a purble and gold monstrosity...

Enjoying this myself, probably not enough to justify buying it but makes a change from battlefield for a bit.
One major dissapointment for me is the lack of any camera settings, i was sure the early gameplay videos showed it running with a bumper cam? Really wish it had different camera positions.
