Other than the fact that two of those games haven't dropped yet - what's wrong with the list? Are they horrible games? You rarely see Oscars/Emmy's going to obscure flicks/tv shows that NOBODY saw. . .so why should games be any different.

Thank you for showing me the truth. I shall make amends for actually thinking there are better games than Portal 2, Uncharted 3 and Arkham City released this year.

* Portal 2 <----- Possibly, but may be beaten by Deus EX HR.
* The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim <----- NR yet, and with only under 2 months of year left, no.
* The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword <----- NR yet, and not a PC game? we are in PC section.
* Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception <----- NR yet, and not a PC game? we are in PC section.
Most Anticipated Game
* BioShock Infinite <----- HMM, no.
* Diablo III <----- Probably, but not until next year now.
* Halo 4 <----- WTF!!?? LOL!
* Mass Effect 3 <----- Probably, but not until next year now.

In fact, AC & Skyrim should fall under the 'Most Anticipated Game' category.

it's a close one between ac/zelda/uncharted for cinematic breathtaking games that could've been 10x better, but as it stands, they're as close to perfect as we'll ever see the developer come to making a game. (repeat next sequel)
portal 2 was great, but forgettable for me.
skyrim won't win anything... it does have pretty graphics, but the last in the series weren't spectacular imo. witcher with skyrim would be awesome.
halo 4 will win in its category for what the franchise has done to gaming.
me3 will win in its category for it's uber massive epic rgp
last guardian should win, but won't.
bioshock is most anticipated game for console kiddies who played it on the consoles.

You can't read. Who said NOTHING got released between Portal 2 and October? Nobody. I said - like movies, music - games that get released later towards AWARDS season are more likely to get more recognition simply because they are in everyone's minds. This is especially true if such a game is an "indy" smaller studio game. That's just the way it works. Whining that well made blockbusters get all the attention is foolish.

OWA being voted at 93rd position? Now THAT was unexpected. Given the ejaculate-soaked love FF7 has, I'd have thought OWA would be in the top 10. I'm heartily relieved to see that Dancing Mad (FFVI), Clash on the Bridge (FFV) and Man With The Machine Gun (FFVIII) are voted higher. To be perfectly honest, I actually do agree with a lot of that list. Yes, they're mostly console titles.... but let's be bluntly honest here; how many of you can name the individual tracks for the majority of PC scores?

If i am fated to die, i will do so smiling from ear to ear, with the calmness of an ocean breeze, knowing that i have cleaned my digital streets and banished forever, the spectre of chewing gum from my dreams.
One magical wide eyed night, a friend and I looked down onto the street below. The moments passed into each other like the bottom of a silent waterfall. Then, through the void, we heard the sweet hum of the street sweeper, 10 stories below. We watched with a deep gaze as the beautiful machine caressed the pavement, making it clean like a newly minted woman who had been baptised in the cool waters of forgiveness. How great would that job be? Slow zen like movement, the soundtrack of your choice playing against the backdrop of a sleeping city, every step makes clean of what once was filth. It's understated yet creates impact for the busy day herd who regard you as a phantom or myth. Finally, finally a game comes out that let's me experience that bliss without a drug test.
