At first I liked the books in this, some were really intriguing and actually led to something, and then there comes Wabbajack, Anonymous and so on. Kinda kills the immersion.

Did anybody figure out how to manipulate the objects you are holding? (the ones you pick up by holding E)
Asked a while ago. I guess we can't.
Hold E. My skull collection is in a nice little row.
Key word there being manipulate. I remember in oblivion being able to turn them around and setting the distance between myself and the object with the mousewheel. In Skyrim I can't do that and it makes the whole thing that much harder.

We know how to pick them up. The problem is that we cannot rotate them while holding them. I have a butterfly in a jar that would look nice on a shelf, but no matter how much I try to get that damn thing upright, with the clunky physics it's near impossible.
Other: companions can be really useful. I was doing that Hangover-esque quest and the...

...portal opened in a very very bad spot.
Couldn't loot two corpses and two chests were off-limits because of it. Well, I just asked Lydia and apparently she happily "dragged" the two corpses from under the...thing...(you can use the command mode to drag things while not being close enough to do it yourself) and she was quite adept at picking locks and cleaning out those two chests. The fact that they now go incapacitated instead of being dead after their health drains is a really good move from Bethesda too.

like 9 hours played and no random dragon encounter
you've done the quest that enables random encounters right?
what quest is that?
killed 2 so far, first one, and one after visiting greybeards, and doing couple town quests i noticed i have "Explored " location i never been with dragon icon.. so i went there.. and there he was , there was fear word too, lvl 1 2 3 all together + big skeletal like mage i cant beat.. so im not sure where i got that location from, didnt retrieve item greybears asked me yet tho
Is the fog of war on the local map fucked up for everybody? This game doesn't let me to be a map revealing whore .
So, does anybody know if there's a fix for that? It would be nice to be able to open the local map directly too, while letting you to walk with it open, like in hack'n'slash games... but I guess that's for the modders to do.

Is it normal if some dragons just circle above me a few times then take off in some random direction? Tried shooting them (don't know if I hit them or not) and they sometimes just do a few circles and leave. Can't be the lack of fighting space since the first time this happened I was in the plains around Whiterun. I always relish the sound of their roars as they appear, then shout "COWARD" as they fly away.
Is there no way to solve the plethora of misc quests without the derp-compass or even-derper-clarvoyance(what kind of idiot thought that spell would be a good idea?)
I have shitloads of quests that just say Find artefact X or Talk to person X

What the hell is this shit? Came a courier along and told me he had a delivery from someone in Blue palace and all i can see is "items added" I have no fucking clue what i just got.
In the .inis seems to make it less of an issue (one of them is already there
Edit: No it's not.. being dumb. Ignore me. Add them both. b
I think there's still a difference in senstitivity, but it makes it better. Bear in mind, there's technically 3 inis (SkyrimPrefs in the Steamapps/Common/Skyrim/Skyim folder, a pretty much identical SkyrimPrefs in My Documents/My Games, and Skyrim in My Documents/My Games) and I just C&P'd the same 2 lines into all 3 .inis. Not sure if it makes any difference, but *Shrugs*
Oh, you can play with the value for those 2 lines, but not sure whether higher is better or worse.
Also, anyone annoyed at how they really didn't port keys across properly? I tried changing the key for Favourites from Q to F. Which is fine in game, but in Menus it says to use F to add to Favourites menu. When it's not. It's Q. WTF????
Grrr... Also, changing mouse buttons is an arse.

Yes, use autohotkey until they patch it:

Binding f to activate completely messes up your favorites.
Using AHK solves it since the key you assign to f now works as the favorite/unfavorite key, which doesn't happen if you use the in-game bindings.
