Trying to persuade when we're already brawling, only a puny imperial would try that. Reaction

Is the Battle-born and Gray-mane dispute related to the main quest btw? Can't seem to trigger anything related to it and I wanna wrap things up sidequest-wise in Whiterun before I head out into the wilderness.

Yes, the "repack" update (120oddMB) is definitely needed. It fixes a lot of glitches with the interface.

@inz

I'm not sure mate, I'm still pottering around doing sidequests Very Happy

A few people seem to having technical issues (like on any Gamebryo game, really Very Happy) but - touch wood - so far mine has been GLORIOUS. I've had one noteworthy bug and that was the weird skill point loss for my primary attack. Luckily it cleared up when levelling that skill.

Some of you keep saying that it's another game on Gamebryo... it just isn't. It doesn't run like one for me and it feels quite different. Even Morrowind slightly modded runs worse than this on high-to-ultra kind of settings for me.

I'm level 18 after a few hours of lockpicking and pickpocketing. I think the leveling is way to easy/fast. Oh and also, the "fog" on the outside local map comes back after you've explored it.

Don't mistake optimization with graphical feeling. Cause, apart from that, it all smells like Gamebryo from the overall look of textures, let's say, through the animations and movements, all the way to the characters' models.

Hi... does any of you know why some items that I have stored in a chest are red? is it a bug in the game? .. the items are taken from enemies that I have killed and are not stolen.. the chest is in the first village in the house where the sister to what ever her and his name is where I get the key to the house...

Next thing .. guess it is a spoiler maybe but I dont know how to hide the text.. How do you do the letter quest where you get a letter from Sven to trick the trader girl that it is the other guy that has wrote it? I told her anyway.. did I do it wrong then?

The game does run smooth. But I have encountered a bug that broke the companion quest chain. That Wuuthard shard quest is indeed bugged, I cleaned out the whole place and didn't find it. After carefully looking around I saw the bandit leader at the top of a tower that isn't reachable, there is no entrance or ladder...he couldn't come down either, so he just stood up there taunting me (which was kind of funny). But I used the "no clip" command so I could reach him and kill him, up there was the chest with the shard too so I could finish the quest. But without "cheating" I wouldn't had been able to finish it. Saw more people with the same problem, but it doesn't seem to happen every time, most of the time the chest are at a place that are reachable.

Yeah, an open-world RPG at that. If it shipped with no bugs or glitches, you'd know some serious black magic was at work Very Happy

Indeed, it's a fork from Gamebryo but the game itself is a pleasant suprise - the depth and expansiveness of the world is quite phenomenal. This is the first game in a very long time now that I feel is worthy of the hype.

I found alchemical recipes nearly impossible to find in the game so I am using this:

Good page on alchemical recipes: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Alchemy_%28Skyrim%29

It's constantly being updated. Now I feel like I can play the game and use all the ingredients that are spread everywhere.

I found some other Skyrim wiki's but those are not getting updated and sit empty.

Did anybody figure out how to manipulate the objects you are holding? (the ones you pick up by holding E)
