Man does this game gimp you hard if you level too many non-combat skills.
The whole system of leveling based on non-combat stuff, but then scaling all the mobs up to your higher level when you don't have the combat skills to match is broken beyond belief.
Precisely what ruined the previous game for me as well - just can't enjoy it knowing I'm being penalized for increasing most of my skills.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

So, what does JB's update do exactly? Do I need it to play or am I good with the update supplied by Razordox?

Isn't that normal? If you use a lot of non-combat skills, let's say thieving skills, you'll be gimped in combat since you're playing a non-combat character mostly. What's abnormal about that?

Dunno if u know this already, but with Russian version you can play just fine. After decrypt go to your game folder and use TESV.exe to play, it works just fine. But when you try to open SkyrimLauncher.exe it will give you the message about geographic region, so for the first time just use VPN to configure the game, and than you can use TESV.exe to play normally, without VPN.

I can tell you that Steam has ground to a halt. I'm getting 100-300kb/s (final bit after installing Skyrim off my retail disk) instead of the usual 5-6MB/s. I guess half of Europe is installing their retail copies right now.

Fuck, I just waked in front of my PC, Skyrim on the monitor, head hurts and I think i have a mild epileptic attack...

You forgot to mention that on the desk was an empty pack of tissues and the screen had a strange blur kinda effect now as opposed to last night...

F12 works here for legit atleast.
They did recently extend their API for screenshots in steamworks, so it could be that Skyrim is exclusively using steamworks screenshots and nothing else? |
What happens if you use PrintScreen button?
I really need the feature to take screenshots as I did in, for example, Fallout NV that is Steam too.

Reason I was asking is because my Internet connection is crap right now and this is the 3rd time I've tried to download the file because the connection keeps getting lost... meh.
