Yep the game is amazing. Can't stop playing. Hasn't happened to me since like... morrowind.
Also yep shadows are blocky as fuck inside, i'm not bothered by the textures. SSAO will be added via mods so that's good, and everything improved.
Few shots (disabled compass + crosshair for max immersiveness)

The textures look bad, similar to Oblivion or is it just my impression, were the graphics dumbed down for consoles to be able to handle the game (consolitis)?

Is that a legit key?? im seriously considering just spending the 50 direct with Steam and being done with it :=)
40 is better though, but only if its a half decent site with good feedback.

As legit as it gets. I think I'll just get it too, it's the first Beth game I'll buy. I feel like a dick for not buying Morrowind at the time.
Could someone make a first post with ini tweaks and such? WOuld be handy for this game.

I was trying to see if i can use some of the texture mods for console-rim, while waiting for a UI/inventory mod.. but its not working, maybe im not doing someting right with the archive nvalidation.txt..

don't know if it's been posted, but the russian version runs fine while connected to a VPN. guess that's the catch for paying a lot less..

Just my luck.
I just got back from picking up my pre-ordered Skyrim. The store had ordered 400 of those amazing thick artwork books to be given to the first 400 who pre-ordered Skyrim.
I was #401
Instead of that book I got a bag of junk: Steelseries Bottle, two steelcase replacements for CoD-collection and Marvel vs. Capcom (we're talking empty steelbox cases), two t-shirts (one some promotional crap about Uncharted 3 on PS3, the other a RAGE t-shirt) and a little black rubber bracelet saying "I love games".
Call me crazy but I feel like I've been shafted (even though that book was an unknown bonus).
Still, got my 4 posters, and most importantly: the game itself.

For those that don't believe it's still Gamebryo at work here, open the TESV.exe in a Hex editor and search for the string "Gamebryo", there are 23 instances of it.

Does anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to create my character but when trying to type the name I can't type in english at all, When trying to type I see boxes like I'm missing some font maybe? Same problem is with the console.

F12 works here for legit atleast.
They did recently extend their API for screenshots in steamworks, so it could be that Skyrim is exclusively using steamworks screenshots and nothing else?
