Finally i ascended this morning. The mirror dude is real easy if you have the right strategy at hand.

For Rangers its best if you dont take any healing skills with you. I took two spirit skills with me (the mirror is stupid enough to cast both of them), Hunter Shot and Dodge. Just run to the mirror for close combat (with dodge). The mirror first summons the spirits and then draws his axe, so my bow did damage around 50-60 (hunter shot and spirits) and his axe about 30, once i found that out he was dead in seconds with one try Very Happy

but wtf is this! Another mission after i ascended? lol i thought this was the end of the game. Can someone please tell me how far it is to the end, tnx ? Smile

how do i ascend anyways? i'm just one mission away from ascending, but how does that work? where do i have to go? what do i do? Very Happy

You have to do elona, thirsty river and the dunes then you have to fight a mirror image of yourself

The ring of fire and the volcanic zones are the last part of the game. Freaking difficult without a good grp.
Then you finish the main quest and you're ready to do whatever you want: exploring, looking for elites, fighting in the underworld or the fissure of foes, or maybe getting your ass owned badly by some korean team in the tomb of primeval kings (which is dragons lair's arena and basically THE arena of guild wars). Very Happy

The real game begins here... , both PvE (fissure and underworld) and PvP (tomb of primeval kings-hall of heroes) get pretty competitive.

Go to bergen, then go south west from there.
You can go to the temple when you do the Gilrath mission.

Have now read some reviews about both GW and WOW, and I like the things you said about GW versus WOW.

So I think I will order GW, but one thing is that I can´t join anyone, because all of you are probably on what? Level 15+ or something..... Razz

I've had alot to concentrate on at university the past few weeks but I finish this week, so i'll have plenty of time to play over the 3 month holiday! Wink

Firstly, I wanna say "hi" to y'all and revel in the fact that you're all enjoying the game at least as much as I am (in fact, I'm gonna need to have an intervention soon if I don't start eating and showering!).

Next, if any of you wanna party-up, my (main) in-game name is "Tomas Braxxisz", although I've currently got a full plate of 4 different characters:

1) 15th lvl Necro/Ranger
2) 15th lvl Elem/Mesmer
3) 11th lvl Mesm/Ranger
4) 6th lvl Monk/Mesmer

So I'm definitely down for whatever, oui?

Lastly, (and this is NOT a *request*) has anyone seen/heard about anyone working up a copy of the Prima strategy guide (I've been checking the front page/groups, but nothing so far)? I only ask because: a) it's looking to be a PHENOMENAL resource, far outstripping the game manual or any online guidess thus far, and b) I'm currently as poor as a bloody church-mouse, and won't have any cash until the end of the month. Meh.

I have a question:
Some items in the game ( Swords, shields, etc...) require a minimal atrribute points in order to use them, however, I managed to equipe my char with different stuff that require points I don't have.
What's the case with that?

but you are still wearing it. so what will a bow do, that, lets say has marksmanship, of 8, does 13-25 dmg, has various pluses, but you have only 7 marksmanship?

i was wondering about that too, i have a sword and shield for close combat equiped wich both have prerequisites i dont even have as attributes. One possible answer would be that you may have some standard dmg/armor values if you don't have the prerequisites for an item.

That raises another question: what are these standard dmg/armor values?
For example, If I wear a shield armor 10 which req Tactics 6, which I don't have yet, what are the true value of this shield for me? this sucks...

hmm that can't be. I have a sword equipped with preq attributes wich i don't even have, yet i can inflict some damage with it, not much though.
