Well, case closed. On high end PC hardware it still looks like a console game (dead island/Bioshock). Textures are washed out and even Fallout looks better than this. Controls are console optimized anyways. I'll pass.

I wonder what happened to the "looks amazing if you hardware for it" or something like that, what bethesda itself said.

I wonder what games you guys play.. Only best game gots best graphics (?)

Aside from textures (which will be modded anyhow) I don't see what's so bad about the look?

Great game, very, very addictive. If it gets better as it goes, I might even forgive them for creating Oblivion Razz The UI is terrible, true, but you can get used to it. As long as you remember that despite the fact that they're not listed under controls, hotkeys DO exist Smile

And what exactly are "today's standards"? Rolling Eyes Same console piece of shit running the same low resolution piece of shit. This at least has great artwork.

Im playing lots of different console ports. Im just asking because devs itself said that it looks very good, if you hardware for it. So in other words... You need top end system to play console quality game? Very Happy Anyway game itself will be awesome im sure of it, and i will spend much time on it. Im not judging the game from the graphics, these games are all about the gameplay and exploration, graphics are just +++.

Oh man, i randomly stumblde into a camp filled with giants and get killed.
Then clever as I am, I go around the cave only to get stomped by a mammoth.
After sneaking past the mammoths I go into a cave and get eaten by a sabre tiger.
Either I'm the worst player ever at this game or you aren't supposed to be very strong at level 5. Smile

Exactly. Maybe Oblivion 2 for consoles but if you got a machine that runs witcher 2 full decently its -graphically- disappointing. Just look down at yer feet, the grass is just pea-pudding.

5 minutes into the game and I already have a problem, can't enter text.

I tried typing with caps lock on, tried changing my default input language but nothing works, text is displayed as symbols.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Yeah, it's obviously outdated but it doesn't have to be top of the line to look great in my opinion. Razz As long as the overall aesthetic is pleasing, then that should be fine no? This is why I can still appreciate older games despite their extremely lacking graphics.

I don't think graphics are too important however I think some are annoyed about the hype that the devs have said about it.

I personally don't mind and I find the game good so far.

It's a bit of a guess but have you tried with the latest update?
http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1694306#1694306

This contains two BSA archives (Exe file version is identical, ini files might differ though.) which were updated compared to what was in the SIM/SID container archive / disc image. Smile

(Misc and interface BSA archives specifically.)
