The hand-holding is really massive on this one. Game is good, but this is its weakest point. Even the city is somewhat useless since NOTHING can be done in it.

Heh, took a intuition point on a early traffic case in regards to a clue I found about a pair of broken classes which removed the lie option, wife had said the owner had bought a new pair but since these were damaged and self repaired I used doubt instead and then Cole immediately accused the girl of murdering her own husband (Whom she was grieving and sobbing about uncontrollably.) after disposing of said glasses which threw her into a angry fit accusing Phelps of being heartless (Which he kinda is.), which was not what I thought would happen but I did laugh a bit before pressing Alt-F4 and starting over.
i installed it on win 7 64bit where it ran perfect.But due to lack of space in my 2nd boot Xp which has shortage of space it itz own drive(c,I didnt installed it on Xp.Is it possible to play it on XP too with the installed win 7 one where it ran fine?registry entries didnt work !

2)install the game + make sure to change the folder name.
(installation path) during of the game to C:\\Program Files\\RockstarGames\\L.A.Noire
(this goes as well for win7 64bit).
4)copy (NOT START) the Patch_2382_02393_1.exe included in the crack file into the L.A.Noire folder AND.
send a shortcut to desktop of the patch.
(its way faster than messing with a slow safe mode windows
afterwards).
4)disable firewall
5)reboot Windows in safe mode
(hit F8 a couple of time during boot up)or unplug ur network cables in normal mode

6) run the patch shortcut on your desktop
Patch finaly works YEAHY and
reboot Windows back to normal mode

7)Reinstall Socialclub(exe) which is in
your installed LA Noire Folder
(this fixed the sync issue)

8)copy the fmodex.dll AND lanc.dll to the LA Noire folder.
and overwrite existing files

9)make sure your internet is offline OR LA Noire is blocked.

so i want to start the game, i press "launch game" .. the loading shit comes up, i look at task manager, 3 x "LANoire.exe" comes up.. after a minute all three are gone..
Firewall is off, blocked the game, diconnected from internet.. path is C:\Rockstar-Games\L.A.-Noire, it doesnt work..

Tried the method, patch doesn't work even though I disabled my firewall properly and restarted into safe mode (Win7 64bit). I can see the patch's exe appear in Task Manager for 1 second and then magically disappear as if nothing was suppose to happen.
EVERYONE with the mouse cursor problem, after adding " -str -npd" commands, start the game NOT with the launcher(default icon on desktop) but WITH OTHER EXE in the game dir.
Tried this myself as a last resort last night and it worked. Performance is great on 1080p with everything on high(i5 2500k, GTX560 1gb and 4gb ram) and the annoying mouse cursor is gone.
I am not sure but if you dont start with launcher ,parametters -str -npd just dont work,thats why you dont have cursor problem,because it is caused from -str parameter.Try to addparameters directly to exe propertiers,start it,not launcher and see if i am right(not at home right now to test).
