Actually, the SP campaign is the only interesting part (looking forward to get closure for the story arch and the characters). MP on the other hand is the most derptastic piece of shit I've ever played

Not really, no. SP maybe interesting for you, but for me SP is a waste of my time. It offers no challenge what so ever.
This is why I never really understood games like Deus Ex, that are SP only. Sure SP was fun like 10 years ago, but now? AI hasn't changed in any meaningful way since god knows when.
MP on the other hand changes with every release of call of duty. From COD1 to MW3. And if you say MW3 MP plays like MW2 MP then you are totally clueless.
Guns handle differently, movement mechanic has changed, recoil model has changed, Maps have changed and changed the flow of the game. Killstreaks are not so annoying anymore.
And no, I am not saying COD is perfect. COD is a flawed game in many aspects. IWNet is a disaster, FOV is a disaster. Amount of foliage and bits and pieces on the maps is a disaster.
Yet, for me personally, COD is fun. Its fun that you have when you get back from a 9 to 5 shift and just spend the next 2 hours shooting people.
But I do realize, that it's actually loads of fun to bash something without a good reason, if something's popular.

Like i said a couple of pages back.
They made a big hassle about us returning it while they send it already out.
So the guy who payed for everything just decided to "fuck it and take it anyway".

Didnt they announce that in MW3 dedicated servers were to be back? Only thing I see is same old match making system as in MW2 with lobby picking the fastest host???

There are dedicated servers, but you can't rank up if you're playing on one so technically they didn't lie.

Haven't played multiplayer yet, but it looks just like MW2 so i probably won't enjoy it. That said I will give it a try, variation isn't always bad so it might be a good change up from BF3 from time to time. SP feels better than BF3 but it's not like I bought BF3 to play SP!

I am a singleplayer-only gamer (I admit it: I am not good enough for multiplayer shooting...) and regarding "pure" shooter I have to agree - they are in most cases boring in SP, I spent not more than some minutes or hours to check out the SP campaign of the CoD or BF series, mostly only interested in the graphics engine, and uninstalled it. man, always the same military cliche crap with heroic (US-)marines, terrorists, conspiracy, cold war and so on....the gaming equivalent to a Michael Bay movie ... give me a break.
But I am enjoying singleplayer shooters when they are enhanced with RPG aspects or a different setting (sci-fi, fantasy), like FarCry, Crysis, Borderlands, Bullestorm, DeusEx.
You cannot really compare games like the DeusEx series to the CoD/BF series. Even if both may include "shooting" as a basic gameplay component, they are completely different in singleplayer.
I think I am going to check out the campaign of CoD/MW3 but only to see if anything has "changed" regarding the singleplayer modus. I seriously doubt that we will see anything different than the usual orgy of scripting overkill.
