what i LOVE from seeing a german ingame movie, was the fact that you can fly over a good portion of the red areas even when playing the smaller 16p map versions. SO GOOD!!!!! or else it would have kinda ruined the game, trying to squeese your plane in that tight area

I thought I read somewhere that there will be no helicopters/aircraft on 16 player maps, and that those were limited to the largest mapsize only? Or do I recall incorrectly?

Anyways, got it preordered from GoGamer, guess next week will be the moment of truth based on what we see of the demo. Don't fuck it up DICE. I know you guy's are EA's bitches now, but hopefully you have a shred of decency and originality left eh?

Waiting...

You probably recalled incorrectly, as i have been following all previews, and there has been no mention of the absence of airborne vehicles in 16 player maps.

Based on the experience of the previous titles, and given the fact that its still trying to uphold that arcade like feel, I would have to make an educated guess of no.
I recall one of the videos showing that the longer you hold down the right mouse button, the farther you throw (therby allowing you to guage distance, which was not possibl in 42 and V), but I doubt they would have added priming unfortunatley Sad

It would be good if they implemented a system whereby right clicking would throw the grenade the furthest distance possible, and left clicking would prime it.

It is possible in 42. Left click throus to max distance and right click lets u drp it even at ur feet if u like:) Load up the game and try.

Edit: Damn, come to think of it, i only play DC and it might be their tweak not bf42's native feature.

Has anyone seen the new BF2 vids just recently posted (dated 6-03 and 6-02). They are both ~11 minutes in length. One shows a guy flyin around, while another (this one from IGN), shows some various features.
One thing I noticed that plagued both of these videos however is stutter.

It happened quite frequently on the TotalBF2 one, where the guy was choppering/flying around. The main kill point is that he was the only one on the map! Nothing else, no AI, no other players. How bad is it gonna be when we get 16, 32, or 64 people? *shudder*
The IGN, showed some close combat, and the stutter was still present.

Me thinks this be cause for concern.

May just be the video cap. lagging behind though?

It is quite possible that it will stutter, as the same prob plagued 1942.

Is there any way how I can see what pixel shader my card supports? It isn't in my manual. Its a Ti4200 128 Mb 8x AGP (brand: XFX). I seriously doubt that it has pixelshader 1.4....I don't only doubt it, I kinda hope it doesn't support it cause it gives me a good reason to spend some money Smile

Off the top of my head, I believe Geforce 4 series only supports Pixel Shader v1.0 through 1.3, and NOT 1.4.

The Area 51 video has a slight stutter too. It's in Dutch right. Watch when he gets out of the pool.

There is no stutter at all when he gets out of the pool, i think you are referring to the thing when he "snaps" into place half a meter ahead of the ladder after climbing it and his weapon snaps into view, that isnt stutter.

With these minimum requirements, you would be playing on the minimum settings and resolution which in my opinion will look like BF1942 on its minmum settings Twisted Evil

btw, does TNT2 support Transform & Lighting ?

Nope, sorry.
Don't know how to translate 'Vlaams' to English.
If i say it's a Dutch dialect, they won't be happy. Razz
