Should have been with Astraweb Cool Face In all seriousness though; I feel your pain. Losing a year sub is.... wow. Appeal to the provider, try to get a refund, if they don't comply go through your CC company (or PayPal or whoever you paid via) and get a refund that way.

They shut down twitter and facebook pages. I think they took the money and run.

ofc, the police is sitting now in front of their printers, ready to print out anything the users download Laughing

It started with this:
http://www.news-service.com/cms/pressrelease20110929en.html

Then yesterday another proceding:
www.news-service.com/

Kinda nasty precedent, all usenet providers hosting in the Netherlands can be closed this way.

There is still an appeal (Dutch: hoger beroep) that might change the outcome. Let's hope for the better to keep those companies alive in the Netherlands, because it would just mean unemplyment. And new Usenet-companies would arise in exotic countries to fill the need.

All good things come to an end, we all knew these news servers couldnt go on forever.

Personally its not a big loss for me, I only download tv programs, becuase I dont get time to watch them while there on and cant be arsed with the watch later crap.

So it they close the lot down it will probably save me money in the long run.

At the end of the day when it comes to films and game, these people do this to make money not for people to download for free, in actual fact we are jepordizing the future of some companys because we dont pay for the stuff.

Which makes me glad to say that I packed it in a long time ago, I buy my games and if I like a film I buy it, now.

Musics always been a bit odd, because if I download and like it I buy it, and most stuff I downloaded was stuff I had on original.

I try to pack it in as well. I buy music I like, I buy games I like. I keep having a problem with tv and movies. If there would be a company that streams series after they have been broadcasted, and they are not to greedy, they would have me as customer. This does exist in the USA but not in Europe for the simple reason that those American producers also like to sell their series to European tv stations. Same with Japanese anime I still download. And I am not going to pay 8 € for a movie stream either. So pack up your greed entertainment industries and you can make a lot more money from people like me. No way I am going back to watching tv with all advertisement shit. I like the freedom of watching when it suits me.
