Thanks for the tip. Had 3 crashes every evening and didn't have any tonight with my CPU and GPU overclocked and that crappy beta piece of shit called Origin in-game disabled.

Still, it's a decent game, it lasted me for solid 50 hours. By no means it's true battlefield game I once loved. It's lost it's charm somehow. The biggest issue I have, beside maps, are all the idiots running around without helping others (not even damn supply boxes), rocket and mortar spam, and terrible graphics where you can't see shit (with few exceptions in some places on some maps).
Even though they improved the infantry combat (most notably hit detection problems) it wasn't enough to make me like BF3 more than even BFBC2. Few hours in the game I noticed conquest is a joke in BF3, because it's just better to run around the map like an idiot trying to cap all bases instead of trying to defend currently owned ones. This is due to map design and clustered control points. And rush...*laughs at Grand Bazaar*
All in all, it's an okay-ish game, nothing really exceptional. Just play and forget fun like all the modern Call of Duties are, 50-100 hours for that price is not that bad. Battlefield series ended for me with 2142...If BF3 didn't have "Battlefield" in it's name I bet it wouldn't leave such bitter taste as it has for me.

I fired up live chat in orgins and said asked nicely for a bf3 discount promo code and Candice gave me a "20% discount but does not work on pre-orders" promo. I bought the game and put that code in before and after the purchase information and got no discount.
I went back to live chat and was told they don't give codes for bf3. mother fuckers!

Found a link on google to a windows update that allowed me to install DirectX11 on Vista 64.
Game runs flawlessly and decent fps for my GTX275.
I really love the attention to detail in the character models, great job on the Plate Carriers and Ammo Pouches and IFAK's. Really really really looks real.
I also noticed some guys wearing Multicam and the others were just Marines. I noticed one NPC was an EOD-Tech and he was wearing Multicam, that was cool. I also noticed a marine wearing a Flat Dark Earth long sleeve shirt and Cammie Bottoms, must have been a JDAM caller.

I stumbled on to a bush wookie hiding inside debris and decided to toy with him, I started shooting around him and knifing him and he thought the shots were fired from a distance and started backing away slowly.
Then I put all the C4 I had around him, moved to a safe distance and sent him to bush wookie hell.

Sounds like it's downclocking to protect itself. Turn the fan up manually. Alternatively turning vsync on might also work.
