Dont worry guys. Reloaded version is inproper craced. After flying few missions (career, challenges etc.) FADE turned on. Now u can fly about only 1-2min and voila..."Bohemia Interactive presents" and then screen looks like ripples on the water.

Waiting for fix

Big surprise. Reloaded should know better with FADE.

Is this comparable to blackshark for flying?

I strongly doubt that a serial change can prevent FADE from kicking in again.

I finally tried this. Ugh. I don't think it looks good. I don't think it runs terribly well. And it flies like SHIT. You must need a beast of a computer, which mine admittedly is NOT, to run this and have it look and run like their previews. But even then it doesn't excuse the flight modeling. Oh well. Time to uninstall. Smile

I've never understood why flight simulators (all of them in recent memory actually - everything from Lock On, to MS Flight Simulator, to this) run like complete ass.

They certainly have never been up to snuff graphically speaking. Whenever you got low the textures on the terrain/buildings were horribly low res, and buildings more or less look like 1995 era cardboard boxes with paint. So GPU load is out of the question.

As far as CPU load - well, you've got your own plane's flight physics, other planes (which most of those are off screen for the duration of the mission, so I'm sure massively simplified physics can be used), and the enemy. Until you actually engage the enemy, they either sit there, or are in some sort of A to B movement or patrol route. Again, nothing demanding there that a modern CPU shouldn't be able to breeze through.

Then you've got a flight game like H.A.W.X. - which is by no means in any way a sim, that is miles better graphically and performs flawlessly on the same machine that simulators chewed up and spit out.

Granted, you are flying in a set area (small box by comparison), instead of a massive map, but the A.I. is more or less the same. I can't imagine texture streaming in the rest of the map could be that complicated if they so chose.

Are all of these sim companies hiring shitty coders? Do they not bother optimizing it at all? What gives?

Exactly.
Hawx is just a fps shooter inside a plane. It can't be compared with any flight simulator.
Like you can't compare CoD or Halo with ArmA.
