wow what the? this game looks like complete shit! Are they releasing a HD texture pack on release? I mean characters look pretty decent, but stuff like walls, bookshelves, the ground look like a blurry mess...

IT looks good if you walk around outside in the woods, but as soon as you get close to a surface its very ugly only played for about 30 minutes yet but so far it seems great except for this major let down. i mean if you are close up to something this looks worse than oblivion. I can probably look past that pretty soon, but still, some of the textures really blow

xkey is pointless though now, yes? either carry on with dvd burning via drive firmwares thanks to c4e, or take the RGH route if you want to run images directly from hdds etc
six months ago maybe, but why pay for xkey now? the phrase 'missed the boat' surely applies very well to them.
It really looks awesome, but there are some textures, that are very low res and you can see it while being close. Does not ruin the game by any means for me, the overall graphics are better than i expected.
So far I have played only the beginning of the game and just got out into the world, but i liked it very much, can not really say what it compares to yet, but I would not call it slow and boring. Have to play some more.
Well from what I can gather from the first town quest I did and a rather large dungeon with bandits and zombies, getting one of the dragon power words and reaching level 5... it plays EXACTLY like Oblivion. The dragon shouts really don't change anything, it's just another kind of magic. The game feeling is completely the same.
One small thing I noticed which I like is that you have reasonable health regen now, I remember standing around in rooms after clearing them out in Oblivion, just casting self-heal for minutes, this tedium is gone now. The menu system is a bit nicer, there is more weapon crafting and stuff like that and I only fought melee... but the game still feels just like Oblivion to me.
The graphics really are not that bad, it's more the animation that has not improved since Oblivion. Something that also puts me off from the xbox version now is the lack of self-shadowing on trees and grass and things like that... something that we got used to on the pc and gives a lot of visual depth to terrain.

Graphics are not great, textures are very poor in my honest opinion.
The music is awesome.
Gameplay is fun, the prologue/starting area gets you straight into the action. However the fun begins as soon as you step outside.
I immediately walked off into the forest and approached a nearby camp, they didn't take kindly to me approaching so of course I had to kill them all which got me 30 gold, black mage robes and a treasure map so im now off hunting treasure with arrows on my back, an iron helmet on, an iron mace in 1 hand, lighting in the other and black mage robes on.....i've only been playing for 20 minutes.
