These simulators may be lulzworthy, but they're selling by the bucketload. Even shit like GameStop has dedicated sales stands for these simulators.

He's not. These simulator games sell like hotcakes in Germany, IIRC.

The next time I walk past GameShit (I don't go in ) I'll snap a photo of the display stand. They've got a whole series of them for sale. Like Dezztroy said; they sell like hotcakes.

farming, construction, trucks, trains...ok, why not, there are more than enough people out there into that stuff. BUT FUCKING STREET CLEANING?

kinda reminds me when i was browsing through some toy store catalogue, came across that kiddie housewife section with miniature kitchens, stoves etc and lo and behold, there was a "cleaning lady" set Laughing

I can understand it for some games. SimFarm was awesome back in the day, SimCity obviously, that Bridge game( basically make a bridge that can hold trains/cars/etc), and economic/corporate sims( which there are way too few of, years old Capitalism is still the best), but all those games had depth and went into the management side of the tasks, not just the practical tasks. These next-gen sims are horrible.

pretty much. at least in the other ones you get to build up a corp, city, farm, whatever or follow your childhood dream of driving some big ass vehicle. in the end, it stimulates reward centres in the brain like any other game. but a game about one of the most sysiphean tasks ever is simply a crual joke Laughing
