I'm really excited for Skyrim. If it's great I get a good RPG to play finally, and if it's terrible the rage it will cause is going to keep me just as entertained
I whatched the opening leak and glad i did it makes me happy i preordered it
and as for spoilers if you didnt already suspect how the game began, really not that hard to figure out.

part 1 and 2 sorry if against rules to post
Thanks for sharing the vid link! Looks good for an introduction to the game, which many console gamers new to the series will want. I'm hoping the game will look better than F3 or NV. The water in that cave looks like a very nice improvement.

Console players are as familiar with this series as pc players, if not more. I doubt many here played the series before morrowind, daggerfall was their last true "complex" (pc centric) rpg, and that was in 96.
These modern elder scrolls games, begining with morrowind, were mostly directed to consoles, and i confess that is where i have played most of them, first on the xbox then on the 360 and now on the ps3, mainly because they have all had poor optimization for the pc, morrowind in particular was a mess.

You think wrong.
He didn't say nobody played the series before Morrowind, just that many didn't Considering there are plenty of people here who aren't even 20 yet.... it's not hard to imagine their first Beth game being Morrowind. Daggerfall (<3) came out in 1996. That was FIFTEEN YEARS AGO. You think the chuckleheads on this forum were playing Daggerfall when they were five?
Sure, they might have gone back to it when they were older... but given the enormous amounts of pissing and whining about the visuals of Skyrim (which already look fantastic) then I STRONGLY doubt any of them would have the stomach for Daggerfall.
even i can't get back into those games nomore... once and a while i try one of those old titles but the only thing that makes me happy are the music themes and stuff.
Granted, Skyrim on the consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3, are going to be scaled back a bit, and probably more compressed. Still, the fact that Bethesda has managed to fit such a massive, amazing looking game in 3.8 GB on the Xbox 360 is a testament to their skills. It's quite impressive that Bethesda has managed to fit a game that takes 560 pages worth of a strategy guide and compresses it to 3.8 GB.
