people with a core i7 with hyperthreading enabled, turn it off in your bios, my framerate went up and the jerkiness went away, played a lot smoother now and i had the exact same thing as this guy in youtube
Make sure to complain about this in the EA forums, this is ridicoulous that i need to disable HT when the titles is promoting HT optimized rofl ...

thanks so this fix will allow him to click on serial window and get the cursor flashing to enable him to enter key
it should get rid of that window entirely and just let him play

The problem he has is that he cant clik into the txt field to get a flashing cursor to enable him to enter his key. He clicks where u enter the key...but nothing happens

But I suppose it wouldn't really run all that well on a 460GTX 768MB anyway, right? Just about everybody with 60fps have, like, top of the line 580's. Anyway, that's what I'm telling myself in order not to get too depressed.
I have GTX460 768MB in SLI and get ~95 FPS with textures on medium, AA off, SSAO and rest at high, so you should get about 50 FPS with a single card. Still playing with the options, but should run well on you rig too.
Dat zuigt. I was hoping you'd say it'd run horrible on my machine, seeing as I'd have to wait to months to be able to afford another copy. Ah well. At least I know that by then it'll run okay. Is that 50 fps even on maps such as Caspian border?
I've only played 64 player maps, so yes. You will get stuttering and framedrops however when you put textures on high because of the limited VRAM.
Did you choose your region in the filter? Servers that are too far away may not show pings if it's too high (if I look at the Nfohump server I either get 200 pings, or none).
When I first looked for servers I would get 2-3 with pings and a bunch with none. After choosing my region it works fine.
After around 5 hours of MP I can safely say that the game is awesome.
It's better, more refined and obviously more PC-oriented than BC2: I take back everything I said about BF3 being a "BC3" since the gunplay feels completely different.
I don't think that BF3 replaces BC2 though. Like I said, it feels different, and in the end the two games can perfectly live in the same HDD and complement each other, imo. (and yes, I'm going to reinstall BC2 soon )
i got my copy from play.com.... said i get bonus dogs tags...but i dont know how to get them. On play.com it says downloadable... any ideas how i download the dog tags?
also... how do you set your custom dog tags in game?

If it works for anybody, please tell me. I actually bought a key that does not work. Because of all the scammers, they're not giving me a proper key and I can't return it to the shops either. I'm screwed.
Got BF3, but massively worried my current rig is going to die soon. Been spotting random instability here and there, though I might just be paranoid. Got new parts coming during this week, but it means I'm not playing anything intensive until my new PC is up and running. So no BF3 for me til Probably Wednesday.

Can u tell me what exactly do u say to the support guy to make him give u key ? That u bought it from Origin but deleted the e-mail with the order number or what ?
And those with BF3 crashing, you seen this video about build in OC?
Looks more nerdy than me, so sounds about right and with so many posts about pre OCd cards crashing on BF3, makes sense. Would test it my self, but don't have the game yet
