Well that's just it, Forza 4 seems to work for some... and not for others.

Perhaps related but I had assumed the civ check popped up the message 'dirty disc' at random during gameplay. That's what I saw from Forza 4 and the only option was to return to the dash. (it should be noted that the disc was not in any way shape or form dirty, nor a bad burn (i tried 3 discs)).
I bought Batman and ran it on an untouched xbox and received the same error. Went to dash, rebooted and everything was fine (disc wasn't touched).
Seems odd to me.

suspect must be the burner or disc as ive had forza, arkham and a few others running for many hours via truncated burns on LT 2.0 with no dirty disc or other errors (and games not even installed to HDD so a lot of disc action)

What brand discs are you guys using with the new firmware for the burners?
I have always used Aone without issue but i'm guessing these won't cut it with the extended size!?!
MSI X570 Tomahawk |Corsair Vengeance LPX 32gb 3600mhz | Ryzen 5800X3D | EKWB Watercooling | Seasonic Focus GX 850 Gold PSU | 4090 Founders | Predator X34P UW curved monitor | Window Pro 10 x64

I'm using Verbatim, never failed me. Plus, it's said that with the new burner firmware these are the best discs to use. A bit more expensive tho. 18€ for a 10 pack here.

Put the blank disc in, launch imgburn, click write image file to disc and you should see all the info in that panel that opens. It says exactly which type of Verbatim you have. Then just burn according to the info that was given (mkm003 = 4x speed - OPC on, mkm001 = 2.4x - OPC off).

all verbatim all correct, only the 001 supports 2.4x and the 003 supports 4x speed and maybe more on some burners. and you could still try to use the aone but its perhaps not save for live.

To burn Aones with LT-max with the Liteon x24 burners set 'Force Hypertuning' and 'Online hypertuning' to enabled in Imgburn.
find settings in..tools->drive->advanced settings (then select liteon tab)
if using Win7 run IMgburn in Admin mode to make sure settings take.
Burn at x4 with OPC off.

yeah, because you'll need it to be able to play XGD3 games and indeed any game that requires the newer dashboards ( all of them now)

I just got a Xbox 360 and I'm pretty noob when it comes to it.
I have a hacked one (non JTAG) and I have been wondering about LIVE.
From what I understand, the worst thing it can happen is me being banned and never being able to sign on LIVE again from this console. Is that correct? It will still work just fine offline, right?
Also, how long does it normally take to get banned? I wonder if I can play a few games before that happens...

Yeah, offline will still work. As for how long it takes to get banned varies completely. Normally there is a generic banwave every October/November but then again, you might just get unlucky and it be a one off. I went 2 years on 1 machine without a ban and then about 6 weeks on another.

Yeah, offline will still work. |
But you will lose title updates.. and they're pretty essential to games these days i think
