yes not the xbox lol. and make sure you won't put the cable upside down back in that will break the drive.

Damn. Dosflash wont launch. it boot the usb, but when I enter " dosflash" I get "bad comand or file name".

Now it works but the drive's not visible.
Also, I tried, the drive won't open.

Thanks, I did end up going with that as I've read all LiteOns use the same fw.
But I haven't managed to get the drive in Vendor/MTKFLASH or what ever, in DOSflash, I keep getting Status: 0x52 while powering off-on the drive.
Will try again later today, as it's 6 AM and I gotta get some sleep.

So Using DOSflash to write LT 2.0 back and I'm stuck at "MTK Vendor Intro to Master on port 0xC000 failed", so I resend the command and doing the power off-on but I keep getting "Status:0x52".
Is there a timing on it, am I doing something wrong - pretty sure I am since I'm stuck there". Any advice?

try it in windows did you dissable the nforce drivers ?you are supposed to that at least some tutorials say so perhaps then Jungleflasher does not freeze. if you already did dissable them then try Jungleflasher with the nforce drivers enabled.

Didn't disabled the nforce drivers when I used it last time... though to be honest I'd rather not use jf. I still find it clumsy/unstable. :/

They're all pretty cheap, so it depends whether you want "cheap" cheap, or decent build quality. Either way, you won't go wrong with the Matrix or the CoolRunner.

In the download "package" you should get ALL the necessary tools and THE tutorial which guides you through the stock fw upgrade, backup and ixtreme fw writting...it's all piss easy.
When you start EEPROM_Utility or Flash_Utility it will list out the full name of the drive and the firmware version
Another way to check is by doing a right click on the drive in my computer and click properties, hardware tab and properties again (for fw)
If by any chance you didn't get anything but the "iHAS-124B-AL0S-MKM001MKM003-final.bin" ixtreme firmware then here

(you need to be on AL0S before flashing...not sure why would it be a problem if we flash from whichever fw to the hacked AL0S but whatever)

tldr;
ihas124b
1.flash stock AL0S.exe from firmwarehq
2.Open EEPROM_Utility.exe , select drive, click "Backup EEPROM"
3.Open Flash_Utility.exe, select drive (ensure 2MB "read flash size" is selected), press Read Flash
4.Press Write Flash, select ixtreme max and wait until it's done.
5. ???
6. PROFIT
Verbatim MKM003 discs are recommended, can be burned @ 4x speed with "OPC" option enabled in ImgBurn
Verbatim MKM001 discs are also recommended, can be burned @ 2.4x, no need for OPC.
Other discs may or may not work...if you look in the xecuter topic about disc quality checks, AONE discs are shit for example even if they burn correctly 
The easiest way to know if you did everything right is to put in a blank +R DL disc after flashing and check the size in my computer, it should report 8.13GB free and not 7.96.

You can continue playing your games via truncating the disks during burn... but don't expect Live-safe behaviour and eventually you're going to come across titles that use those last 300MB on the disk - and then you're screwed.
