Just great, I finally managed to change my nickname on my old account so I can have that nickname on my new account and now it says it's already taken. Goddamn EA.

I think there are signs that they will release mod tools for BF3 at some point. Everytime they have been asked they have replied "not at release". Of course, this is only speculation for now.

The problem is that EA takes into account every user id or even soldier names from previous Battlefield games. That's why you don't find them in Origin. I couldn't use my bc2 soldier name as EA Master id, support just added a random number at the end and I've had to use that since then.
That's pretty fucked up if you ask me. I hope they get their shit together some day. |
So if I were to delete my BC2 soldier I could change my OriginID to what his name was?
I was Immunity in Vietnam, BF2, BF2142, etc.
I AM the one and only fucking Immunity..and I'll be damned if I block myself from being myself! How fucked up is that?

At least FIFA 12 needs to be updated after the installation and I don't see why BF3 wouldn't.

This whole MasterID thing is fucking idiotic beyond belief - just have individual soldier names (irrespective of account) like in all the previous Battlefield games.
