Same happened with Reality Pump and the SDK for the engine Two Worlds 2 is using. It's nowhere to be seen, even today. Damn lying developers . |

So since I can't be bothered to read all of the 180 pages, and the last 20 consist only of useless CVars, is there a proper fix for glitching textures on mass scale?

you mean the popup glitch ? if so, you could try to patch the game with the last patch through steam (already cracked, BTW). Otherwise, don't know.

For me getting the AMD rage driver and patch fixed everything. But only had some performance issues. But for some ati cards there doesn't seem to be a proper fix, however for some making a custom cfg seems to work.

The driving sequences were bland and boring and were just a filler for getting from a to b they could have spent more time on this and made it a lot more interesting.
The invisible walls were a complete pain in the arse , i hate them its a personal thing , i hate mime too, and as for the doors that you cant open ? why not ? why wasnt this completely open world after the first mission or two ? such a stupid mistake.
Overall it wasnt a bad shooter enjoyable in parts but with too many limiting obstacles to get the feeling your playing a game set in a world, set in a town maybe , maybe a small ish city. I dont know where that 20 gig went to but being honest those graphics are not that good , they are good! but theyre 4.5gig good not 20 gig good ( probably makes no sense ) i cant see were they spent all that "space" on "mega textures".
Another game im glad i never bought because its had its play through and i doubt itll get another , ill grab it when its a 9.99 in a year or so and play it again when ive forgotten its supposed to be a AAA title. |
Yeah, this is my feel on the game also. If they had made the world open and had more to do with the world itself (as in things happening in between the areas you drive to) it would have been more fun. The driving wasn't all that great but if there were small side areas and we could have walked around them, then the "explore" feature would have been a boon.

i agree with most of the posts about the game. im still at the start of Subway Town and im enjoying the game so far for sure, but even from here i can see that this game has very little replay value. i`ll remember 2 major things from the game - the npc models were great - maybe its because i recently bought GTX 560 and i`m still getting used to the pretty side of the graphics but i liked the visual style of the game and especially the npc models, and secondly - the fights. say whatever you want about the challenge of the gunfights but i liked the combat style. sadly thats all.

Yeah the NPC models/textures look incredible as they kept the texture resolution for them fairly high. The rest of the game from distance looks quite good as well.. That being said; Imagine how great the game would have looked had they given the enviroment textures the same fidelity as the NPC textures.

I found the best way to get most out of this game was to uninstall it and free up the space... I'll check back on it in a year or so

Your system is probably running out of video memory. I would suggest you to lower the resolution or AA settings and try again.

For at least the ATI 48xx series this works:
11.10v2 Drivers, turn on Catalyst AI.
Add "+jobs_numThreads 0" to steam startup options. Seems to work with a shortcut as well.
If you mean the checkerboard effect and horrible texture pop-up.
Edit: Apparently works on 5xxx and 6xxx series as well.

Is there a fix for the game crashing when loading levels/area's? My game seems to crash sometimes when it loads a new area. Also, I'm getting a weird texture glitch when I blow up enemy vehicles, never happened before.
I installed the first patch that came out, is there another one that fixes these issues?
Are these issues happening even with the retail versions?
