Just a question. I already have my key and everything from a previous flash that I apid some dude to do. Do I need any more tools than a tool set to open my xbox to flash by myself the next time? I have the "old" lite-on.

No, if you already have the key then you're good to go. A small screwdriver and a torx 10 is normally enough to get into the case without too much hassle

Jungleflasher always freezes my PC on startup so I have to reboot.
Dosflash32 works perfectly though

kefff wrote: | Ok so here's a question from a 360 flashing noob:
My console was flashed about a year ago by someone else to ixtreme 1.51.
He mailed me the following files afterwards: identify.bin, inquiry.bin, key.bin and lite_cfw.bin.
A few months ago I managed to update my firmware to 1.91 myself..somehow
I remember creating a dummy.bin file from the files above.
Now I'm trying the same for 2.0, but I can't seem to get my key verified?
Newest dash was installed (together with automatic flash to OFW I think?).
Does my box need to be probed again? |
If you have the original files sent to you, check the key in those with the one you try to verify. Should be the same.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.

Quick question, my friend just called up to check if he can upgrade his spoofed Lite-On drive to LT + 2.0.
Here's his situation. He originally had a BenQ drive, whose lens wore out. So he got a Lite-On drive from a modder, which spoofed it to his original BenQ drive and also loaded IXtreme LT + firmware on it. He doesn't have the original keys for any of these drives, but he says that his BenQ drive still has IXtreme 1.61. So is it possible to upgrade his current Lite-On drive to LT+ 2.0 if I extract the dummy.bin from his BenQ drive? How should I got about this process?

Thanks a lot. I will see if I will have the guts once a new FW is released.

Simple question - does XGD3 ORIGINALS require LT 1.91 and above?
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

yes you can, just get the key.bin from the benq, then when flashing the liteon with LT2.0 use the manual spoof button and load up the benq key.bin
follow the jungleflash tuts in the pdf file, you can get it from the jungleflasher.net site
also if your worried about the drive not being spoofed you can always transfer the laser assembly from the liteon to the benq.. they use the same laser

The guy who flashed my xbox to LT+ a few months back refuses to send me my key + .bin files. After reading the JF tutorial i guess i am screwed without the key + files? I have the 7 series phat liteon drive.

If you want to play both XGD1/2 backups and XGD3 originals then yes.

The #3 gets around c4eva's nonsense LT1 security? Good to know, thanks. I hated that he did that, making it so you can't dump the key once flashed to LT, that was irritating beyond words. I love the guy for his work, make no mistake, but that was just dumb.
