So... I finally got my new GFX card(EAH5870) and I upgraded my rams to 4 gigs. I have an Athlon II x3 450, with xp 32bit I can use its 4th core without a problem(With OC even).
But when I installed 64bit Win7, it didn't boot(Right after bios) up and I soon found out that's because of the 4th core. So I went back to triple core, installed the 32bit Windows 7 and unlocked the core again and it worked flawlessly.
So guys, what are saying? Is there anything I can do about the 4th core? 'Cause I want it.
If there's nothing I can do about it, how about 3.25 gigs of ram and quad processor instead of 4 gigs of ram and triple core?
(This is just temporary. I will get a FX4100 next month, when its released.)

why do you have to trade in 768mb of ram for a 4th core?
Btw if you want to actually make use of your 4GB you'd have to install a 64bit windows 7 anyway, because else you'll just have 3.5 gb available and max 2 GB per application.
RAM is currently dirt cheap in germany, 8GB for 42€ (DDR3-1666), don't know if that is the case in turkey though Where do you buy your parts btw?

Yeah, ram modules are dirt cheap here too. But I wanted to try out BF3 and long forgotten GTA4. Without the 4th core, these game just gonna kick my ass.
I dont know that yet though. I haven't tried any games yet. Downloading Witcher 2 right now, fucking steam servers dont go past 400 kb/s. Meh.
And this rig is only for gaming. Is there any BIG difference between 3.25 and 4 gigs of rams? I don't use it for any other application, just gaming.

Sounds like the 4th core is bad. The 32-bit part is working but some tiny little part of the 64-bit executor is broken, hence you're not getting the 64-bit OS working.

3cores isnt too bad , overclock it to 3.4-3.6 and BF3 should be fine.

Yeap, that's that.
Thanks for all the replies.

When looking at empty spaces, gpu usage hits up to %100 most of the times. Bu in city, it just goes down to %60 or so. Thats just plane stupid, and game is running around 20-30 fps.
Again, thats just stupid(It's not even hitting over %70 cpu usage).

OK let me tell you the following. I have 6GB RAM, my AMD Quad is running on 4 cores (3.0GHz each) and a Radeon 6950.
GTA - The lost and the damned is running like a bitch. It's sub 30fps and I the sliders are pretty much on the left side of the scale.
Then I start up Mafia 2 and that game looks 1000000000 times better than GTA could ever dream of... and runs with 60FPS on highest settings.
Shitty engine port is shitty.

Yeap, even Metro 2033 doesn't drop below 25 FPS. 40-50 fps most of the times, drops to 25 when a huge lightning effect enters the scene.
I hope they port LA Noire better, that game is just for my taste. Period drama with crime involved.
FUCK! Where is my damned Boardwalk Empire?!
Neh, I'll combine my old Kingston(2 gb, 1333 MHz) with 4gb gskill and go with a tri-core processor.
I hope the performance hit is not that big with games that can utilize 4+ cores.

With High DX10 the game ran really smooth for me.
