Code: | Thanks to everyone that participated in the Battlefield 3 Open Beta, especially those that contributed their feedback and ideas. Your input has helped to make the final release of Battlefield 3 all the better.
Like all good things, though, so too must the Beta come to an end. We've got to get the servers down, make updates and tweaks based upon all the feedback you've given us, and get everything ready for the big day of release.
The Battlefield 3 Open Beta will close on 12:00 PM Noon 10/10/11 CET
(Current CET time and date: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=239 [timeanddate.com] )
Thanks again to everyone who participated - we'll see you on the Battlefield.
On a personal note - here's to those of you that tried to Stab&Grab our tags ;)

Most of them are 64, not 48. Check your filters. |

jets are the one thing i dislike in battlefield.
1. it makes a lot of people camp them , which means every one waiting for a jet = useless , since they dont do anything else
2. While most people never get to the skill level required to wtfpwn the map with a jet, once a skilled pilot gets the jet, forget about driving a tank or apc, you wont live long enough to even see an enemy, in general.
3. Its just not realistic. Planes arent used above own troops like that. They are called in, assigned specific targets, come and go. They dont fly above friendly troops (which for them are impossible to distinct from enemy troops.)

Thats why BF3 features huge maps without boundaries... for jets only, infantry can play in a 1x1km meatgrinder box

Makes me rage as hell and curse them into oblivion.
While everyone else is spread throughout the map getting their asses beat by the enemy team, these assholes are running and jumping on the runway

The 1x1km box suddenly becomes 50x50m when it comes to conquest the objectives

Worked for me, stupid way to do things but DICE could've told us which ports the game uses.

I have everything on Ultra but with HBAO off. Takes a very long time for me when round is over and new round is about to begin. Get in very late despite i have SSD 4.6 Ghz I7 and 580GTX. Is it the ultra settings making it slow? About to do some tests now.

Nope, it's not the ultra settings. i5-760 @ 4.4/6950 unlocked and at 6970 clocks running the game off a Vertex 2. High/Ultra, HBAO on/off, MSAA/FXAA - none of that makes a difference for loading time. I always see the countdown so I'm in well before it starts.
You sure it's not your connection and/or firewall?
