playing FF8 on psp which notoriously suffers from many freezes.

anyways i'm using popstation 3.0 to change game ID and trying with different eboots to see if i can get past them... however, when i load the game my mem card isn't recognized since the save ID needs to be the same as game ID.

popstation can change both at the same time when i'm converting the psx iso but is there any way to change the save ID independently to match the new game ID so i don't have to start all over(perhaps only to find out that it freezes in the same spot)?

Why are you messing around with that older crappy version? Ditch it, man, and get the OFFICIAL PSN download of FFVIII. I'm pretty sure you can find it on every site by now.. and it almost, if not totally and completely, eliminates every single issue the old PSX2PSP versions had.

True, but at least this way he'll have a perfect experience in the end. Changing IDs simply doesn't work 100% and there are still times/scenarios where the damned thing will crash Sad

gonna try the program thx.

and oddly enough the most populated site i found with ff8 was apparently this old and outdated psx rip.

got a filename for the psn rip i should look for?

edit: nvm found a version... hope i can get the save to work for it.

I don't, sorry, I got mine officially from PSN - but I'm absolutely certain it's been cracked/uploaded on other sites.
